The apartment is brand new, tastefully furnished, clean and has a wonderful terrace with sunbeds, tables and chairs. It's located in a central and quiet area, which is perfect for beach goers but also for anyone wanting to explore the area by bus, as it's five minutes walk from the bus station. The owner is always ready to help and share insightful tips about hidden gems. She is really friendly and makes you feel at home, which really made a big difference! Also very accomodating with check in times!

The location is great and walking distance to everything you need. The host was very helpful and met us on arrival so we could park our car. Would definitely stay here again. Our apartment had 2 double bedrooms with plenty of storage.

“Great apartment and exceptional thoughtful host”

Comfy apartment with all you might need for a perfect seaside holiday. Clean, very centrally located but at the same time peaceful and quiet. We especially enjoyed our breakfasts and evening drinks on the balcony with a mountain and sea view. The host was exceptional and took a great care in providing the best experience throughout our stay! She provided many useful tips on places to visit, beach mattresses, clean towels every day, a welcome drink, home made liquor and on the last day we got a lovely thoughtful Dalmatian farewell gift. It was raining when we were leaving and we even got umbrellas to use. Very warmly recommended, I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Makarska!

Solid 10/10 for this place, the host was amazing and lovely, she greeted us when we came in and showed us around the place. The apartment was beautiful and very colourful. The place is close to everything only a short walk to the harbour.

“Our first time in Makarska and Apartmani Marhela & Jakov and we enjoyed every minute..”

The apartment was perfect in every way. The location was very central to the Marina, beaches, old town, restaurants and the local shops. We chose to take a bus from Split to Makarska and although it took longer than a taxi, we saw some of the towns and villages that we otherwise might not have seen. Our host Marhela made us feel very welcome and on arrival there were drinks in the fridge, some local liqueur and glasses plus savoury snacks for us to enjoy. Fresh flowers appeared on cleaning days and we wanted for nothing. There was plenty of tourist information to hand and Marhela was always happy to advise us on day trips out, the best local restaurants, bakeries, fruit markets etc. All the rooms were spotlessly clean with fresh linen and towels plus beach towels. The only meals we ate in was breakfast, but there was plenty of crockery and kitchen utensils plus hob and microwave, which we did not need. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony and chose to eat our breakfast there. We had one very rainy day and two umbrellas appeared outside our door, which were most welcome. There is so much to see and do but we were only away for one week, so chose the boat trip to the islands which departed from our local harbour and the road trip up the mountains to visit the sky walk. We ate out every evening and were not disappointed with any of the meals. Prices for both food and drink were very reasonable and the choice of meat and fresh fish was excellent. We walked miles along the riviera and there was always somewhere to stop for a cold beer, ice cream or coffee. We are also keen runners and managed an early morning run along the riviera before most people were out and about. Everywhere felt very safe and friendly, and although it was the start of the holiday season, no where was crowded. We chose to take a taxi back to the airport for our return flight and this was arranged for us by Marhela. It is our wish to return to Makarska- Highly recommended. ,

Marhella was so helpful from getting there to leaving, lovely duplex very clean and modern, close to lots of restaurants and the front, very quiet on a night! oh and Jakov makes his own licquor which we were given and enjoyed very much

Everything was perfect, the location in the old town itself, the host very friendly, caring and always available. The apartment is very nice and clean. Great for our boys, especially since we were at a sport event, the spirts pool is just a stone's throw away.
