“Amazing stay”
This is a gem of a hotel in Mao. We stayed for our anniversary and we were made so welcome. Everything about the hotel lends itself to an amazing stay….the quality of the hotel, the beds, the breakfast and the central location too. Jessie and Tess were great and nothing was too much for them. We are already planning our return.

“Wonderful little hotel”
El Consul Mao is a beautiful little hotel. Centrally located in Mahon it was easy to walk across the town. The rooms are comfortable and well presented, the bed was big and comfortable and a brilliant bathroom. The staff were fantastic, very attentive and could not do enough for you. Breakfast was delicious and presented so well, special little touches made the whole experience excellent. We look forward to returning, hopefully when it is less windy, and spending more time at this beautiful hotel and exploring the island more.

This is a perfect boutique right in the centre of Mahon. Beautifully designed and thoughtfully presented. The team there were charming and helpful. Good breakfast too. We loved it.

“Exceptional!”
We had a wonderful experience at El Consul Mao. Exceptionally lovely - comfortable, tasteful everything worked to perfection and centrally placed in Mahon. We do recommend the Cami de Cavalls for the walkers...Sa Mesquida to Es Grau was so unspoilt and well signposted all along the way. Communication with the hotel was excellent. Jessie could not be more helpful!

“A hotel we won't forget”
We loved everything. There was nothing not to love. The attention to detail was incredible. The breakfast was amazing, always fresh and wholesome. The Receptionist is meticulous in dealing with everything. She is happy to help and give advice without being intrusive. The lady cleaning the rooms was meticulous. Everything at this hotel is beautiful and the use of the peaceful courtyard was a great bonus especially as there was complimentary tea or coffee all day plus an honesty bar. This was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in many..
