I stayed at Lucky’s Oasis for one night and I honestly regret my stay there was so short! It’s a lovely homestay with amazing, heartwarming and caring owners! Lucky helped me with organizing transportation from Maho, main town in the area, to his place and then to go to Yapahuwa the next morning. Also, I asked for the dinner and it was delicious and huge! I think I could eat it for three days 😂 The area itself is calm and quiet, a Sri Lankan countryside so if you want to spend some time in nature and far from crowds of tourists - that’s the best place to go. I want to come back for longer and explore more of this amazing place! Thank you Lucky for your amazing hospitality! 🥰

Clean and the host is very attentative to your needs.

A very friendly and helpful staff, and an amazing rice and curry for dinner! The place is also one of the few places strategically located close to Yapahuwa. I heard the rooms will be equipped with AC soon.

“Real Sri Lanka experience”

This was the second time in years that I have stayed at this place and each time I am amazed by the hospitality of these people. Lucky and his family are truly exceptional and very hospitable, everything was perfect here and the place is truly fantastic. They are now like family to me and I can't wait to come back again and again. Furthermore, Lucky is a perfect guide, excellent knowledge of the territory for a true local experience. I love these people and their passion for hospitality. Highly recommended if you want to meet simple and genuine people.

It's a really nice place. Perfect location if you're going to Yapachuwa or Dambula. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The hosts were very helpful and friendly. Plus, there's a place to park your tuk-tuk.

Lucky and his wife were great hosts. Location was convenient to some nearby tourist sites, Yapahuwa being one. Lucky is very knowledgeable in the area and country, he can assist with anything that's required. Dinner and breakfast was plentiful, authentic and very tasty served outside which was very nice. Lucky is a helpful, informative and considerate host.

Great one night stop over on our cycling tour. Comfortable room with fan and modquito net. Good dinner and breakfast served in the garden by friendly owners. Good value for money.

I didn’t stay at the property as the owner had some work done on it. Instead he arranged for us to stay at his uncle hotel a few km away.

I can't properly rate the accommodation because it was under reconstruction. We stayed in the hotel room at Lucky's uncle's instead, and we were satisfied with it. Lucky took good care of us.

“One of the best experiences in any stay so far”

Beautiful and authentic stay with great gardens and rural surroundings! The host is amazing by and makes you feel like you are part of the family guiding you through the attractions nearby and voluntarily taking you on night walks to discover animals or serves coconuts from his garden.

Very nice dinner. lucky is attent and will do everything to make you at ease. Any inconvenience will melt as snow from the sun. His wife is a good cook and serves autentic sri lankanian meal. Honest and very good food.

Lucky (the host) and his wife are very lovely people and give you a warm welcome. We had such a nice dinner in the garden in the evening, which Lucky’s wife cooked for us. Also, Lucky gave the amazing tip to climb the Yapahuwa Rock at sunrise. We were the only one there which was a great experience! Thanks for being a good host Lucky!

“Lovely gem in small local village”

Lovely homestay with a local family. Lucky’s wife is an excellent cook and made us an amazing dinner, with more than enough food! Lucky obviously cares a lot about his place and was very hospitable ensuring everything was perfect!
