“Fantastic place for people with an urge for chilling out”

The place is wonderful, like the hosts. Go there, if you want to stay in a very relaxed place where you see nothing but beautiful nature and the people staying there with you.

I enjoyed the accommodation, beach access, the eco gym. My family and I enjoyed using the kayak (included in the accommodation). Finger crossed that the road will be repaired annually and more people can use this accommodation.

We had a lovely stay at this eco-friendly and self-sustainable beachfront hotel in Mahahual. The concept of the property is fantastic, and we really appreciated the peaceful location directly on the beach with breathtaking ocean views. The atmosphere was serene and quiet, offering a perfect escape from the busy areas of town. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and we also loved having access to kayaks and snorkeling gear, which added a lot of fun to our time there.

Please be aware that the beachfront of the accomodation can be full of seagrass (Sargassum). This made us decide to cancel our stay. The whole beach was covered and smelling. Even the sea water was brownish and unclear. If you do not want to get surprised and your stay being ruined upon arival, call the owner in advance to check the situation!

The location was awesome!! We enjoyed the sea front room, which was very cool in the night time. The wonderful view in the morning and night time was a plus. We also had the chance to walk the beach early in the morning which was beautiful and satisfying. Finally, the ability to swim a few feet away from the room at any given time of the day was the topping on the cake.

Incredible location, a real paradise! Very helpful and friendly hosts. We should have stayed longer ;)

“Peaceful, sustainable and friendly place to stay!”

Beautiful and peaceful place. Love the food, customer service was excellent, the staff and the owner was so friendly, always with a smile, explaining us about their sustainable place, using water from the rain and solar energy . My dogs loved the place, also myself and my husband. The main idea was to relax, and even though the weather was super cold and rainy 1 day, everything was amazing, exceeded our expectations. For sure we will come back with family, with friends or just the 2 of us for a romantic trip again.

Stunningly beautiful and relaxing holiday location! Everything you need to relax and destress. The room was great, falling asleep to the sounds of the waves was amazing! Gemma and Ricardo are fantastic chefs and we loved absolutely everything we ate!

“Piece of paradise at the end of the World”

It's a long and bumpy road to get here, the amenities are rather basic, and there's nothing in the area. However, the location makes this place unique and it is worth visiting. If you like nature, good people, and a calm space for relaxation – it is a place for you. You will live directly on the beach, in the nice hut under the palm trees, a few steps from the ocean. Sunrises and night sky are amazing here. You can relax on the beach, use chairs, beds, outdoor gym, hammocks, or take the kayak and swim to the nearby reef. The Internet connection is excellent. Gemma and Ricardo run the place and are lovely people and great hosts. They take good care of their guests. Gemma is very kind, and helpful and can teach you some yoga if you like. They also offer a large selection of food and drinks, so you do not need to ride anywhere and can just lay on the beach, enjoy and relax.
