Overview
Located in Mae Nam on Koh Samui, Escape Beach Resort boasts a beachfront location and has an outdoor pool the overlooks the sea and complimentary WiFi access in all area. Offering a choice of bungalows to cosy guestrooms in the main building, all rooms are air-conditioned and comes with views of the sea or garden. The private bathroom is fitted with a hand/rain shower and complimentary toiletries. Other amenities include a flat-screen TV, a fridge and a safety deposit box. Activities including sunset tours, island day trips and fishing can all be arranged for an additional charge. Other services such as motorbike/car hire & transportation are all available. Complete the day after a long day out with a traditional Thai massage and relaxing treatments, which can be booked at the front desk. Open from 07:00 - 22:00 hrs, Castaway Restaurant & Bar offers a wide selected of Thai and international dishes. Guests can sit back by the pool while enjoying refreshing drinks and cocktails from the bar. It is 30 metres to Mae Nam Beach. Samui Airport is 8 km from the resort. Guests can visit nearby attractions in Bophut including the Fisher Man Village (2 km) and Wat Phra Yai (7 km).

“Do not book”
Not what is presented on photos, it is directly on beach but very old, dirty, smelly and unfriendly staff. I left immediately and they didn’t want to return money even though I left as soon as I saw the room. Very bad experience

Escape beach resort was a lovely place to spend a few days of our holiday at. The resort is well positioned near the top of the island and fisherman’s village and it also has amazing access to the beach. The views from the pool and restaurant are absolutely stunning and it is so peaceful and quiet there. In particular, watching the sunsets by the pool was an absolute joy. Overall the resort was great and we were very happy. Quite a lot of reviews we read had some pretty negative comments. While I could see why there were some complaints (e.g., staff not very friendly, uncleanly rooms, steep hill) we did not find the resort as bad as some people found and overall we had a great stay. The staff are not particularly friendly, but they were not particularly rude either and so as long as you are happy to just carry on without much reliance upon the staff then there should be no issues. The rooms could do with a bit of maintenance, but overall they were not too bad. It was super quiet and the beds were extremely comfortable and so we slept very well while we were there. The steep hill by the resort can be a challenge, but as long as you have a car and/ or bike, then it should not be a problem at all. It will be more of an issue if you are planning on walking to places. So yes, while there may be one or two issues for some people, we loved our time there and thought that overall it was a pleasant resort.
