This is an exceptional bijou property right in the centre of the village. No problems parking right outside on the street. The courtyard is a bonus, so quaint and private with lovely seating. Good shower , big fridge, comfy bed. I paticularly liked all the windows opening out onto the square Amazing bakers shop. Great restaurant all on doorstep. So peaceful at night, no through traffic.

Lyons-la-Foret is like a secret that a lot of people know about but few enjoy it to its full. Voted one of France's most beautiful villages, Lyons-la-Foret is like a hidden world. The picturesque streets are like a time capsule, but this is still a living vibrant village, and the only shame is that the day tourists who flock to experience its uniqueness don't stay longer and discover the true secret of Lyons-la-Foret... the peace, tranquility, and friendliness of the local population. It is clear that this is not a village for everyone, but, we were searching for relaxation, a base from which to explore the hidden Gothic heritage of small villages and towns of Normandy, and a chance to simply walk the dog and enjoy the world from afar. Lyons-la-Foret DELIVERED... Add to all of the above, Hotel de Maître and you have achieved perfection. Overlooking the Halle on the square, the first floor apartment was a haven... tastefully furnished, and with all that one needs for the simple life... After a long journey, the relief that we found in arriving gave way to the sadness that we had when we closed the door behind us for the last time. We hope to return...

The location just above the market square is hard to beat. The style of the house is quirky and neat - I really enjoyed it, and we had everything we needed.
