“Disappointing+frustratin experience. Hidden fees: €11.50 after booking + additional €39 for cleaning”

We had a very disappointing and frustrating experience with this property. A very high cleaning fee (€254.06) was already included in the booking, which should fully cover standard cleaning. Despite this, the host charged an additional €39 after checkout and outside of the Booking.com platform. The reasons given (trash not taken out and a couch stain) are minor and should clearly be covered by such a substantial cleaning fee. There were also no clearly stated checkout requirements that would justify extra charges. Additionally, after the booking was confirmed, the host requested an extra €11.50 for “deposit services,” which was not mentioned anywhere in the listing or pricing before booking. This kind of hidden fee is not transparent and should not be acceptable. Overall, this feels like double charging and a pattern of adding unexpected costs after booking and after the stay. It creates a lack of trust and a very poor guest experience. I strongly advise future guests to be extremely cautious, clarify everything in advance, and be aware that additional charges may appear even when they are not disclosed upfront.
