Wonderful decor - art everywhere and in a very old lovely building with lots of character! Perfect location! The host was just great and we enjoyed our stay very much.

Brilliant location in the heart of Vieux Lyon, just a few minutes walk from lots of good restaurants, many specialising in local cuisine, a boulangerie, a general store, a Metro station and lots of tourist attractions. The host was exceptionally kind and helpful.

The location of the apartment was perfect. It is in the centre of the old city and it is so unique as is in a Unesco building. Tourists come to look at the building all day which is quirky but it quiet at night so this doesnt impede on sleep. Frederic is a fantastic host.

Fantastic location. Frederic Jean, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. The room was full of weird and wonderful art, also books, dvds etc. He's a very trusting and decent guy.

The house is looking to the historical tower from 16 th century.You feel like you are travelling to the past. The ceiling on the bed is very low so you should be very careful while going to the bed. There are lots of restaurants and cafes around.

Exceptional Host agreed to let us in early with our bags. The apartment was beautifully decorated with pieces of art from the host's collection. Perfect location for exploring the old section of Lyon and Lyon itself. Very quiet at night. Very easy to reach from the subway station, even the suitcases survived the cobblestone streets.

We can’t rate Frederic’s apartment and hospitality more highly. He kindly gave us the larger room so that we could add an extra person to our trip, meaning we stayed in the mezzanine room. The upstairs bed and sofa bed were very comfy and had all the things we needed, plus being amazingly decorated. The location was incredible for a few days stay in Lyon, other tourists came to view the tower in the court yard and we saw it every day. Frederic was a huge help from start to finish, giving us itinerary and restaurant recommendations. You just need to be okay with stairs.

The room was spacious and comfortable. It was filled with so many interesting pieces of art that even after three days I was noticing something I hadn’t spotted before. Set in a beautiful historic building in the old town, it was ideal for a short break to Lyon.

Excellent location right in the heart of Old Lyon, step outside and walk to everything! Restaurants, cafes, central to sightseeing. Beautiful artistic accommodation which is a part of Lyon’s history was a standout of our trip. Frederic is an outstanding host who made us feel very welcome. He even took us on an incredible photography adventure through hidden passageways, showing us the artistic beauty of Vieux Lyon. We loved staying above the art gallery and meeting the artists, the courtyard was beautiful and a popular spot for tourists to photograph the building. We will definitely come back and stay again!

Frederic was a lovely host who provided an excellent welcome and informative suggestions. Our room was unique - an art gallery just for us, so many pieces and curiosities to admire. Location was exceptional and the building was an attraction in itself. Even the circular stairway up the Rose Tower was a highlight - but not for the faint hearted if you have big bags! A great experience.
