The manager was on leave, her sons were there to give access. Impossible to connect by wifi because non secured connection, refused by firewall. No breakfast possible. Clean but very old looking, need refurbishment.

Breakfast was great. Good staff. Very chatty. Good English. Location in centre of town perfect and plenty of close free parking. Lots of restaurants nearby and easy to get to different pyrenees valleys for lakes/walks/cycles/ski-lifts

Extortionate prices for horrible accommodation. No way this can hold even 1 star, but promoted as a 4 stars. We arrived after a long trip in the evening, and simply did not have the energy to look for other options that night. It was the poorest conditions we have ever stayed in. The general information is wrong, it's filthy and very old. The damp in the mattress, in the rock hard pillows, in the bedding. Old filthy blankets about 30 years old , the smell of damp is following you and entering each cell of your body. This "hotel" should not be open to the public as it's dangerous from hygiene and safety point . .

A gorgeous property with a lovely combination of stately ageing and all modern necessities. Although it is worn in some respects, this adds character. The location is very good for exploring the town on foot, and a room with a view of the cathedral and square is particularly nice.

Wonderful place with real character in old centre of the town. Very friendly hosts. They allowed a very late check-in because I was late riding my bike over the Tourmalet. Very clean simply furnished room. Definitely recommended.

Not the best room I’ve stayed in and not exactly cheap. That may be due to me being a solo traveller. I guess you’re paying a premium for staying at the base of the Col du Tourmalet! The Hotel was ok, clean enough. Bedroom and bathroom were a good size. The bed was comfortable. The shower let the room down. Low pressure and so difficult to get the temperature right. Neither the bedroom or the bathroom were particularly pleasant places to be. The hotel team were very friendly and spoke excellent English. Breakfast was next door, at an extra charge,  which was good.

The hotel decor was very traditional to the region, with some beautiful pieces of furniture. The bathroom was modern and very clean.
