Situated in the historical centre of Lugo, the Hotel Ristorante Ala d'Oro was once the home of the noble Conti Rossi family, one of the most important aristocratic families in the town. Hotel Ristorante Ala d'Oro has 40 quiet rooms, equipped with all modern comforts and 2 meeting rooms. In the corridors it is possible to visit the exhibitions of famous photographers. The restaurant, open also to local guests, is situated inside the hotel and it appears in all good-eating guides. It is especially famous for the excellent, handmade first courses.

It was the best hotel ever! We wanted to spend our anniversary in a small town and chose this hotel just accidentally. It met all our expectations and even more! We had a beautiful room, very nice breakfast, warm greetings and a bottle of sparkling wine for celebrating. Also we tried a restaurant, it’s not a casual for every evening, but a good choice for a special occasion.

“Super friendly and helpful stuff”
The hotel is great! Room was clean and tidy. Towels were changed every day and the room was cleaned daily. Hotel is located near the center so with two kids was easy to find place to eat and to check all landmarks of the city.

“Best stop in Lugo”
Spacious, clean, great room and gym was an absolute surprise for being very good. Staff also very nice. Restaurant also very good.

“Not as expected”
I was not in the main building of the hotel as seen on the pictures and my room looked very different than expected and also there was a smell of mould every day.

“Good in so many ways ( including. restaurant menu)but badly let down by breakfast.”
The hotel was good in many ways(ground floor rooms, bar and dining areas and the male receptionist exceptional) BUT the big let down was the breakfast offering. Despite coming down early many of the foods were gone, no bananas, croissants and rolls stale and nothing replenished . Hot offering very limited and unappetising. With very little effort it could be great.

The receptionist was extremely kind and mind service. The rooms are nicely renovated and the restaurant has unique tastes surrounded by amazing staff.
