Situated next to the sea, just above the seaside promenade in Lovran's centre, Hotel Excelsior - Liburnia offers free Wi-Fi, an outdoor and indoor swimming pools with heated sea water and a sauna. The stone-paved beach is nearby. The hotel's Teens Club includes PlayStation games, air hockey, table tennis, sjoelen table shuffleboard, bocce, darts and a team game called City Quest. Staff-very friendly. View - pure magic. Rooms - clean and well designed. Good beds. Hotel is just a stel from the sea. Wellness and spa area are very good. We had a service dog and they didn't charge extra for her(bravo!). They charge parking per night (not like others-per day) - so you get 2 day for price of 1 night.

Biggest plus in this hotel was super nice and helpful staff, it's clean, ok breakfast. Nicely located at the sea, super nice area around the hotel. Amazing spa facilities. Got a massage, can highly recommend. Had a suite with a gigantic balcony, also the room was really big.

To choose suit was the best decision. Room was big and comfortable with 2 bathrooms (one with shower and one with bathtub. Separate bedroom and living room. Very big terrace with directly sea view. For our dog staff prepared her personal comfortable bed. In the room there were also kettle and coffee machine, small refrigerator, two TV. In some reviews we saw that hotel is rather old. We agree, but we do not pay attention to the small things. Overall all was nice. We took breakfast and dinner. On breakfast we wish to be more fruits (on Saturday there were much more choice of them than during other days...). Drinks during dinner are not free, but this is almost everywhere in such types of Hotels. Very tasty pizza which we eat almost each evening. Love a lot swimming pool. It was with sea water and 30C. Very comfortable and warm. We were in April and in SPA zone there was almost nobody... May be 4-5 people in the pool. Not sure how overloaded it in the season time. Very friendly staff on reception and ladies who cleans room.

Beautiful sea view, easy access to the walkway next to the sea and centre of Lovran on the other side. Free parking place close to the hotel.

I stay at this hotel once every two months and for the first time there was no shampoo or shower gel in the room. The dispensers were empty. Huge lines at the restaurant due to groups arriving, we need to somehow think through these options. Otherwise, everything is great, oh yeah, I forgot, there is no kettle :( It's hard to get used to.
