Villa Maria is such a beautiful place located in the middle of the jungle. It offers the comfort, the location, the kindness of the staff and the amazing experience to be in the middle of the trees. You will love seeing the humming birds fly by the restaurant. The pool is a great plus and the restaurant offers very delish dishes. The staff's attention to details makes you feel like royalty (thanks again for my birthday cakes ;o)

Amazing views from beautiful, spacious, clean, comfy cabins. Very large and well maintained grounds, with a direct path to the beach. Nice pool, friendly staff, close to Tayrona National Park.

Everything!! Excepcional place to stay. Everyone was extremely kind to us and food was delicious. Totally recommended.

My room was very nice and private, with a balcony looking out on the jungle. A variety of birds were singing during the day, and insects and geckos were chirping after dark. The staff are very friendly and pleasant. The food is good, although mostly international options. There are also cats and talking parrots around, which add some character. There is warm water for the showers, it just takes a couple of minutes to arrive. The pool is warm and clean. The grounds are very large and well-kept. There is a beautiful beach about 5 mins walk away, mostly through a private walkway on the hotel grounds. My stay was during low season, and there were only a handful of others staying there, so it was very relaxed and quiet. If you are looking to meet people it's probably not the place, but if you want to relax in a jungle setting, with the sea nearby, it's perfect.

Immaculate grounds and beautifully presented, very peaceful, pool was great and food amazing, staff where excellent and always happy to help.

We spend here 4 days on our honeymoon trip in Colombia. Whole place is absolutely amazing if you are looking for peaceful place and connection with nature. You are literally staying in the jungle, but structured and nicely designed. I highly recommend upgrade to seaview room. Stuff is nice and speaks decent English for Colombia. There is a path that in 7-8min takes you directly to the beach and on the main road there is bus to Tayrona/Santa Marta. But I really recommend staying more nights than just using it as sleepover for going to Tayrona park. Taking bus to Santa Marta airport was absolutely safe and cheap.

“Brilliant place to stay and relax Staff are exceptional!”

Absolutely loved this place. We enjoyed the beach, the pool, jungle walk and staff. The beds were comfortable and our accommodation was really nice.

Staff were fantastic, super helpful and extremely accommodating of our basic Spanish attempts. Food was simple but good. Cocktails were ace. The rooms looking out to sea, where our kids stayed, were amazing and benefited from a gentle breeze coming from the sea. The room we had was further back in the jungle and whilst this was incredibly atmospheric, being surrounded by wildlife, the lack of any breeze meant it was dam hot and humid, clearly no fault of the hotel. The beach is close and is a beautiful quiet beach, the surf is quite strong so it may not suit very small children. There is a local restaurant serving good seafood and local dishes. The entrance to Tayrona park is only 10 minutes away by taxi and is worth the 2 hour walk through monkey filled jungle to get to the beaches.

Absolutely lovely staff. Great Pool and beautiful grounds. Very close to beach and lovely food and restaurant. Beautiful room would highly recommend.

“A confortable and authentic jungle experience with friendly service!”

Stunning jungle aesthetic and right in the middle of nature - loved the hummingbird haven, tortoise garden, parrots and treetop birdwatching. Our bungalow (27) was huge and the view was amazing. Recommend a bungalow further from reception/restaurant/pool for seclusion and views - the 3-4 minute walk is worth it and Ricardo took care of our luggage impressively. The staff were all lovely and keen to meet our needs, particularly with transport bookings. The pool bar and snack service was a real hit. Really easy to get to Tayrona national park, recommend using the driver service. Expect sunny days and quiet, calm evenings.

“Gorgeous Spot!”

Gorgeous hotel with really lovely staff. They have us an upgrade too which was so lovely of them. Facilities were fantastic. Venue was so clean and good was great. So lovely to see the animals and to see the loveliness of Tayrona Park from your hotel room.

Very nice setting in the jungle with monkeys everyday coming close. Short walk to a very nice endless beach you can stroll. 5 min in bus to the entrance of the Tayrona national park, a must see. Exceptional staff very kind. Good food at the restaurant. The pool is elevated with a nice view. We would definitively return there.

Our stay at Villa Maria was exceptional. If you are going to Tayrona you must stay here! The hotel exceeded our expectations and had so much to offer. The rooms were clean, comfortable with views overlooking the jungle. We saw plenty of wildlife during our stay. The staff were so friendly and very accommodating helping us with anything we needed. The restaurant was amazing with a great choice of food. A shout out to Andres and Ruby who waited on us at the restaurant and the chefs Estobhan and Johan as well as Manuel and Andres who were on reception. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again!
