“Stunning location, great staff, felt really comfortable as a solo traveller”

I loved being next to the ocean. It was really healing and invigorating. Yes the ocean is noisy but the ear plugs supplied were perfect to help me sleep.

When you book a 'double room with sea view' you make certain assumptions (ie that it is a 'room' in the conventional sense of the word'. We did not look too carefully at all the details and so were very surprised to find our 'room' was completely open to the elements, with the bed built onto a sort of platform with a mosquito net. It was also very surprising to find it so high up, jutting over the edge of a cliff, accessed via a steep staircase... It was also a surprise to find the bathroom at the bottom of said staircase (not great if you need to use it in the night). However, after the initial surprise we absolutely LOVED it! The room gave us the privacy to enjoy the most incredible views and it was delicious to fall asleep to the sound of crashing waves. The sunrise was sensational - worth getting up early for. It was a magical experience. Also, the staff here are so lovely. When they saw we were surprised they offered us a different room. Everything else about the hotel is super-lux - the dining room, two pools and gardens are all stunning, with gorgeous flowers everywhere and birds/iguanas etc. The food was very good indeed; breakfast was huge and delicious, plus the restaurant was open from lunch time until evening and everything we had was good. We felt very spoiled. The location is AMAZING. The views of the river and the hills, plus the beach views are a dream. The hotel staff also gave great advice about visiting the national park (a five minute drive away) and sorted transport for us.

“Stunning accommodation”

The property was incredibly beautiful, views over the river and straight out to the ocean. I think this is one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed, I would come back for every holiday if I could. Amazing food and facilities too, the room was so clean and comfortable.

We had the most amazing stay in this amazing location with absolutely amazing views and scenery. Delicious food, wonderful cocktails and lovely staff.

“Incredibly tranquil resort close to Tayrona’s El Zaino entrance”

Peaceful, tranquil, spiritual location and decor/ambiance with incredible views. Beautiful beach right there that you can explore, better than the Tayrona beaches 100%. Very quiet hotel (multiple signs saying “quiet please”) Ultimate relaxation. All meals were 5-star quality for a good price (~$35USD total per dinner for two people) Staff were very friendly and helpful, even if you don’t speak Spanish well they will work with you. Very kind and hardworking!

Pro: - nice location and views; - firendly staff; - tasty food at the restaurant; - quite area; Cons: - quite isolated - you need to walk a lot or order a taxi if you want to dinner in an another restaurant (there are not that many in the area) - you cannot swim in the lagoon or in the sea - crocodiles (not caymans as it is written on their page)

“Such a magical place! ABOVE ALL EXPECTATIONS!”

Everything! Was above expectations! The staff was pretty amazing and friendly! Frank and all of them so kind, Food was OMG! The best!!!! Encocado and bread was from another world, The corttage (cabaña) was incredible!!! The view, amenities were remarkable, We had the best time and massages ever!

“Very nice place to stay with noise of waves against the rocks from the ocean”

we were in cabana uno. Amazing open room without walls, right above huge rocks between ocean and river. Large waves hiting against the rocks nonstop. It was beautiful to sleep with this noise :) Place was very beuaitufl and staff was kind while we were there.

Location is breathtaking from every direction. The grounds are nice and thoughtfully planned so there’s many spots to either connect or have alone time. All Staff were absolutely fabulous.

“A perfect time in tune with nature”

Wasn't what I expected at all. The description was spot on, but I thought I was going for a luxurious 2 week break with a sea view. It was definitely overlooking the sea. It was a beach cabin, high over the sea, no windows, small space, but perfectly formed for a few days break. (No windows, and a bed above a space to put your bags, and a 'private/cabin bathroom). We had a mosquito net over the bed, and yes electricity (two low lights - one over the bed head and one on a shelf set up at the end of the bed/past the wooden steps up to the bed). It wasn't luxurious, but you were definitely at one with nature. We were lulled to sleep with the sound of the big surf crashing on the beach. Bless the team, they had a hotel too, so gave us a nice big luxurious room for the last 2 nights so we could have a hot water shower and had room to pack (as we had come from a 3 month overland/camping trip). It was a fantastic experience and if you love the sea and nature it is definitely for you. We did enjoy our 12 night stay (in the open, at one with nature) and our 2 night stay in the hotel side. We saw (in the grounds) 2 different types of Monkey, an adorable scarlet macaw, named Roberto, (became a firm favourite of hubby), cayman, iguanas - lots (and very large ones at that) a snake - beautiful river snake), A large toad, who was lovely, geckos galore, a capybara, a couple of cats and dogs (all were very friendly), and beautiful flora and fauna. The resort was very clean, and the staff were fabulous.

Fantastic location with views over the river and the ocean. Good options for food. Staff was very hospitable. We loved our open cabaña right next to the ocean.

“Amazing location”

We stayed in the cabaña overlooking the ocean with no walls/window and it was an amazing experience. The bed is comfortable and it was just lovely listening to the waves and waking up watching the ocean. We stayed for one night only and I would have wished we stayed for at least two. Although if I stayed longer than that I would probably chose and more conventional hotel room. The area is absolutely beautiful and we saw lots of birds, iguanas and a cayman from the grass terrace. The pool is also lovely.
