The location was perfect for visiting the Somme battlefields. The house itself was charming and typically French. Comfy beds. Great washing / toilet facilities (separate toilets, bathroom and shower room). The owner and his family were very welcoming and were extremely helpful when one of our party became unwell. Parking adequate for one vehicle - we managed to get a Vivaro van into it. We would recommend the kebab restaurant in the village, which exceeded expectations.

This property is a little gem, tucked away behind a wall and gates in an extremely quiet village in rural France. It could be described as 'rustic', it retains the charm of a previous era. Our host was excellent, a pleasure to speak with. The property was clean, fresh, and had whatever facilities we needed for our stay. Plenty of hot water for the shower and washing up, a toilet upstairs as well as downstairs, a large bathroom separate from the shower room and a comfortable lounge with TV. The beds were very comfortable and the 'spiral' stairs up to the rooms was easily managed. Car parking is inside the property, behind the gate. The location is quite special. For those interested in the history of the Western Front of the First World War, especially the Somme battles, then Longueval is the ideal place to be based. From here one can easily access all the most famous, or infamous, sites of the Somme area. A very short walk from the cottage is Delville Wood and the South African Museum and Memorial. The tranquility of the wood is something to be experienced.

Excellent location for the ww1 battlefields and monument. Really helpful and friendly hosts. Gite had everything we needed from clingfilm to ironing boards. Comfy and clean.

Lovely house, a lot of space for everyone, nice shower, well provisioned kitchen. Very nice bedrooms with double beds. Also the house is not too far from the motorway, but in a very quiet village.

Our trip was primarily to visit my Great Grandfather's grave, which is in CWGC Longueval Road Cemetery & to explore the surrounding area. We received a warm welcome from Myriam when we arrived at our base of Clé des Champs. The accommodation is a beautifully spacious Gite, located in peaceful Longueval, fully equipped with everything we required for our stay. Myriam & Johann we're available if we needed any assistance. Clé des Champs is spotlessly clean & tidy and the outside garden area is a very nice extra if wanting to eat & relax in the sunshine. We really couldn't fault our visit & wouldn't hesitate in booking again.

it is ideally located for touring the eastern part of the Somme battlefield by foot or by bike. Peronne is 20 min by car with some great restaurants. Johann and Myriam are really friendly hosts. The property itself is really spacious and comfortable and easily would suit a family of four.

This is a really charming place to stay in a charming area. The village has its own cafe/bar and is peaceful, pretty and close to the places in the Somme you'll want to visit. The house is lovely and bright. Its slightly quirky, but fun, and has everything you need including a lovely outside area for eating and lounging about. It's behind a big gate, so is private and the owners live separately in a house at the rear so very secure. They are very friendly and helpful and speak good English.

This is a beautifully charming typical French style farmhouse. It is exactly what you would expect if you want to have a relaxing stay in the French countryside. It has everything you need to have a comfortable stay. The location of the property is excellent for visiting the war graves. The particular cemetery that we wanted to visit was less than 5 miles away. The proximity to the cities of Arras and Cambrai is also well worth noting. The hosts are amazing. They are a very kind and friendly family, they communicated with us well to arrange our check in and were very helpful - nothing was too much trouble. They even gave us two large punnets of fresh cherries from their garden. They were delicious :-) Before leaving they served us coffee and chocolates to say bon voyage. We will definitely be staying again and will be recommending to our friends and family. Thank you for such a lovely welcome and comfortable stay.
