“A very nice place to spend at Long Beach - with some space for improvements to make it a great place”
Great location on/in Long Beach. We paid a bit extra for the ocean view and it was definitely worth it. Otherwise you have a view of the parking lots. The rooms were big, with a round table to sit at, and a nice balcony to take in the ocean air/breezes. At the back of the hotel, there is a nice wind-protected lounge area with a place for a fire. There is also a beach volleyball court and two cornhole courts/sets, which were a nice touch. The selection at breakfast was good.

I liked the attitude of the staff. We were in bad weather and freezing rain. I liked that as soon as the announcement about bad weather and the closure of a number of roads due to ice passed, the hotel wrote to us and called us with an offer to cancel the reservation free of charge and a warning about such a situation. I also liked that, just in case, there was an additional heater in the room in case it was needed. The breakfast was fresh and tasty, despite the fact that in the city itself not all cafes were open due to the weather. From the unexpected, I liked that near the drink machines opposite the pool there was a piano in the same space. This is just great for children who need daily activities.

Excellent breakfast. Awesome pool. Friendly helpful staff. Free bicycle use. Best place in Longbeach for beach access and views. Quiet in winter. Everything was perfect.

The condo we stayed in was clean and comfortable, and handily located close to the swimming pool. We liked the fire pits and seating behind the hotel. The staff is friendly and efficient. Loved the new plush towels provided for the swimming pool. The updates that have been made to this facility in the past few years are wonderful. The Chautauqua is our go-to place in Long Beach.

“Peaceful and happy”
I'm already thinking of when I can go again. The breakfast was very good, the outside area to sit with fireplace were comfortable and roomy. Room was clean, view was wonderful, games outside for kids and adults, just a short walk to the beach, and with it being a little out of town it was so peaceful listening to the ocean at night. I couldn't have been happier.
