Cannot fault the hotel. Staff were excellent, breakfast was great, the set menu dinner was brilliant (and well worth the price). Stayed in the oldest building on the site and it was so atmospheric.

From the start we had a good welcome and our room was very cozy. The 4 course dinner menu is a must. We liked the rustic vibe and history of the place. Beautiful paintings hanging inside.

The place is beautiful, has charachter, and clearly has a rich history. Everything is clean and nicely renovated. The dinners were excellent and really added a great (albeit pricy) experience to the whole stay.

It was a great trip to the old times in the modern way. Staff were wonderfully and I can totally recommend taking the dinner menu.

The place is completely unique with lots of history. We were not expecting the 4 course evening meal and chose the wine pairing too - it was excellent.

The area in which the hotel is located is nothing short of idyllic. Waterfalls, a beautiful river and mountains all around. The food was perfect and the people very friendly. Alltogether a peaceful place with lots of opportunites for hiking and other activities.

“Relaxing stop on roadtrip”

The atmosphere was amazing. It was a quiet and calm location with nice tracks around to walk with a dog. We took the 4 course dinner with wine and it was a great experience! Breakfast was the best on our 9 day roadtrip.

“Unique hotel with charm, history and grace.”

Place has so much character. Probably because it has so much history. The cabins (or ‘stalls) are rough hewn and the paths strewn with grass and mud. But just when it seems like you’re staying in a hotel from the Wild West you sit down to a gourmet meal, then return to a room you find is appointed with all the amenities. Did I mention the beautiful mountain that frames it, with the peak piercing the clouds in the morning?
