Super aesthetic and very cosy B&B in an amazing location in the Slovenian mountains. Easy to reach, yet surrounded by nature and only a short drive from Bovec. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful, always making sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. One morning we had to leave very early for a canyoning adventure, and he prepared a generous breakfast and lunch package for us so we would not miss out on anything despite leaving before breakfast service. Everything was exceptionally well taken care of, from the delicious à la carte breakfast to the beautifully renovated rooms. The property is spotless, tastefully decorated, and combines modern comfort with the charm of a traditional mountain house. You can immediately feel the care and attention that has gone into every detail. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would gladly return if we visit the Soča Valley again.

“A very special place in a stunning location”

The location of the guest house, in a quiet, deep carved valley beneath one of Slovenia's highest mountains Mangart, is stunning. You can literally start hiking when you step outside the door. The room was comfortable and well-equipped and the breakfast, which was served in the beautifully restored outer building, was exceptional. Sitting at night in the backyard drinking wine and watching the light fade on the mountains, was a particular highlight. The young couple that run Gorska Roža are helpful and charming and you can sense the love they have for this special place that they've created. Highly recommended.

The Place Is beatiful and perfect for people Who wants to rest from the frenetic everyday life. The room has got Evert confort and there Is a big attention to the detail. The breakfasts were huge and tasty. Katia e Matjia were so kind and helpful with the clients all. We Hope to come back soon.

Our bedroom was spotless and well-kept, with a fully functioning fridge that came in handy. The highlight of our mornings was definitely the breakfast — absolutely spectacular, with fresh and delicious options that exceeded our expectations. We left feeling relaxed and well taken care of, and we’d love to come back again in the future!

This delightful property is superb and is managed by a lovely young couple who are happy to chat about the area, it's history and places to go. These are the sort of people you hope to meet sometimes when you're travelling. Matya and Katya thank you for making our stay so special.

Everyone mentions the kindness of the young hosts, with good reason! They are genuinely hospitable and friendly. We wish them only the nicest of guests! Staying at Gorska Roza is a memory we'll carry forever. Yes, that good! Log Pod Mangartom turned out to be a real find too; a beautiful setting with some of the best hiking, and the restaurant, Brunarica, just a short walk in the direction of Bovec, was excellent.

“Very close to heaven on earth”

Such a beautiful place, this must be very close to heaven on earth! A wonderful situated accommodation in an impressive valley, close to the famous Soča Valley. Tastefully furbished, with the most beautiful breakfast room you can imagine. The two young hosts are tremendously friendly, this is unbelievable. Breakfast is fine, you can enjoy nice evenings in the garden with a glass of wine, and I guess you cannot sleep any better than here. One of the best B&B's we ever had.
