Ideal location to pack your backpack for a multi day hike in Hardangervidda. If you have a wet tent, you’ll have no problems drying it. Breakfast was splendid!

Good price. Beautiful location with views of the fjord and mountains. Pleasant garden with hammocks and loungers. Friendly and helpful reception and restaurant staff. Clean, tidy, and a very tasty breakfast. Relatively close to Trolltunga. I recommend staying at the Hardanger Hostel!

Very clean and fresh linen, well equipped common kitchen, a very beautiful location on the fjord bank: take a stroll down the hill to the church and graveyard and fjord waters! Breakfast was fair enough.

Amazing hostel, very clean and comfortable. Beautiful surroundings and perfect location. Breakfast was included in the price and it offered wide selection of options. Staff were friendly and helpful. Loved our stay!

The lake view is beautiful. The bed is too soft, but surprisingly comfortable and back pain-free. The toilet is quite clean. The host is so friendly that he suggested us a beautiful route off to Bergen but we can’t detour due to the time constraint! But it’s Jolster-Gaularfjellet-Balestrand-Bergen

“Budget friendly stay with breakfast included”

We arrived around midnight, but we contacted them in advance about our late arrival, and they arranged everything well, keys were left in a box by the entrance, which made check-in easy. The room was clean, breakfast was good, and the view from the window was beautiful.

Surrounding is very nice. I travelled with a child and senior citizen and has been very comfortable. Breakfast is very good as well. Kitchen is small but good enough for quick children food. Rooms have basin for brushing teeth etc.

Rooms and facilities were clean. Nice breakfast included, with an option to pay if you want a takeaway sandwhich, which I thought it was great and very convenient. Staff at the reception was great.

The hostel is well located, close to the fjord with nice swimming spots. Good starting point for activities and excursions such as Trolltunga.

No-frills summer accommodation in a great location overlooking Lofthus appleyards, church and beach. Basic but functional room. Friendly staff. Great garden with cherry trees and fluffy grass. Good breakfast.
