“Fantastische plek met een geweldige host”

What an experience! Villa magnolia is a wonderful and peaceful place right next to Locarno city centre. The rooms are big, good mattresses, nice bathroom, but what really made our stay very pleasant was our host Charlotte. We are Dutch and she also happened to be Dutch. I’ve been traveling a lot in my life, but Charlotte is the best host I’ve ever met, by far. Me and my family had rented the 2 bedroom apartment with no kitchen, but some kitchen utilities, fridge, coffeemaker etc. Charlotte told us to leave all the dishes, she took care of it, because it was our holiday. One night we had asked if we could have bbq in the garden and because it’s quite a walk to get there with the stairs, Charlotte was so kind to put plates, cutlery, glasses and even herbs and a cold bottle of white wine at the bbq place. Charlotte joined us for a small drink and told us that some 3 other guests wanted to invite 6 people over for dinner and using the pool etc. We were very happy that this host doesn’t allow such parties as I was traveling with my elderly parents who tend to go to bed early. I can absolutely recommend Villa Magnolia. Best stay ever!

Charlotte was very kind, she recomended us to visit Ascona for Jazz festival which we were not aware of, she also helped us with grill arrangement. Villa is located close to center and has a nice lake view, it had a nice minimalistic furnishing

Absolutely stunning park-like garden on different levels with lush tropical-like vegetation. The vast Pool was well maintained. Rooms were big and clean and all the amenities you usually require were available. The most extraordinary thing was our Host Charlotte who was an exceptional host. We never experienced such a welcoming and caring person. We can honestly say that she became a friend during our stay.

Great Location, great host

“A perfect choice to stay at!”

It was a very nice Appartement, with a very nice view on the lake. It was perfect for my mother an me! We also liked the garden and the pool. The villa is at a great location so we could walk everywhere. Charlotte was very friendly and so helpful!! She gave us a lot of great recommendations and was available for our question at every time!
