“Amazing, much better than what you get from the pictures.”

The environment is lush and well kept, the garden is safe to relax in and equiped with chairs close to the river side, you can hear the hipopotamuses and see them on the other river side. The staff is available to help at all hours even with matters they could ignore, they are very friendly and competent. The inside is clean and has the basic amenities, the kitchen is available.

Very nice place with great view of the lake and the hippo's. They can help you organize safari's. People working there were friendly. You can walk or take a taxibike to town.

“Beautiful place to stay in Liwonde”

The place is located right at front of the Shire River. The manager and the staff were quite nice and very helpful. I missed being the bike passenger of uncle Morgan who helped me a lot during my stay there. Thank you very much everyone.

I am honestly so confused by all the negative reviews which almost made me reconsider booking. Villa Liwonde is located at a beautiful spot near town with great views of the Shirenand its hippos. The villa itself is lovely with comfortable and clean rooms at very good value. The dinner was very tasty and good value and you can pay for everything by card..What stood out the most though was the staff. Lyton, Maureen, Thom and the team are so so friendly and went out of their way to help with everything I needed. Thanks guys. Highly recommended!

“Nice place to stay near river, hippos were making noises.”

Situation was very nice on the river bank. Clean and big room( number 5 and 2).

The location was good, with a pleasant garden overlooking the Shire River. The staff were helpful and friendly with tips on where to go for food. The bed was comfortable with good linen and a decent mosquito net. The shower worked although the water was a bit lukewarm.
