“Countryside Garifuna region”
Countryside Livingston, chicken and little pigs from the neighborhood will visit you in the morning. After a 30 minutes walk (slow) along the beach you get into the city. The beach is just 20 Meters away, It takes additional 30 Meters until the water gets deep.(below the hips). You can hear the low waves sitting on the Veranda. The host is super friendly and helpful for any questions. If you are happy, some Garifuna dance parties will happen in the neighborhood, as it happened to me. A once in a lifetime event. The bathroom could be a little bit bigger. Take this as suggestion for future renovation activities. The room was clean and as I expected. Don't go there if you look for luxury. For cooking, you have to light a fire for barbecue or use a pot , or you simply order food from one of the restaurants in town. The host will support you to do it. This is a place to chill and relax I wished I had more time to stay to enjoy this lovely environment.

“Clean and nice but not good location for solo traveller”
It was clean and quiet. The hist was helpful with everything that i needed and its a pretty location. Even though it’s near the beach and kind of tin the jungle, there were not many bugs.

“A lovely place to stay in Livingstone”
This pretty wooden bungalow right by the sea is a lovely 15 minute walk into town or a quick tuk tuk drive. It’s lovely and peaceful, just the wind and the sea. Patrick is friendly and we had some good chats with him. There’s a small bar nearby and a couple of small shops just round the corner.

“Una cabana en el paraiso”
A very authentic place well taken care of by the host. Practical, with all you need for a pleasant stay in front of the sea. We enjoyed the calm, the beauty and the natural sounds of the night. The owner, Patrick, is a particularly caring person with a rare sense of humanity. Always ready to help and share information to make sure we made the most out of Livingston. Thanks for welcoming us Patrick, we will come back soon!

We've decided to stay outside the center of Livingston more in the nature and this Cabaña was almost the only choice. It was nice 2 nights stay, Cabaña is right on the beach (10 mins from the center by Tuk Tuk + 5 mins walking along the coast) so you can wake up with sound of the waves in the middle of nature. Although it is outside the Livingston center, we felt safe there, since right next to your Cabaña is house of the owner Patrick - French older man, who decided to move and live in Guatemala. He was very nice and kind host! Overall, the stay was great, however you need to be at least little bit adventurous since you are not staying in shiny hotel, but in wooden Cabaña. Occasionally you can face some problems connected with this - some parts of Cabaña are not 100% clean (including shower), it was quite hot inside the Cabaña and once also the water stopped working, but Patrick very quickly fixed it :) If you decide to go for trip to 7 altairs, we recommend to go in the morning by Tuc Tuc and on the way back you can just walk all the way to Cabaña along the beach with stop for the lunch. We went both way by walking, but it was mistake, because in the morning on the way to 7 altairs, there was high-tide coming and there was almost no space for walking, just lot of plastic trash from the sea. On the way back with low tide, it was nice walking trip along the beach to Cabaña (30-45 minutes).

We really loved to stay in this wooden cabin with the nice hammocks:) Patrick was super lovley he gave us always fresh water and also some small bananas which we're really good:) In my opinion its the perfect place for a couple of days relaxing at the carribean sea:) Its a little bit outside of the city but in 5min you can reach it with a tuktuk for 5qzt/person :) We also went one day to the siete Altares (some waterfalls with cool water) which is a one hour walk at the beach. For getting food there's a menu from which you can order simple and cheap food which they will then bring you directly to the place :) Or also brought some stuff for breakfast :) So you can make it there because there's a possibilty to cook water as well as dishes :) Definititly worth staying :)

“Rustic and Charming”
The cabin was located on the outskirts of town, right on the beach. Our host took the time to turn the dwelling into a very livable space. Patrick is easy to be with and did all he could to ensure that our stay was comfortable and easy.
