A beautiful apartment, right above the place where Smetana was born. The old, historic interior is lovely, and it’s a great touch that there are Bedřich Smetana records available to listen to. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys a charming atmosphere and a bit of musical history. There’s also an option to buy a delicious breakfast at a hotel just a 5-minute walk from the apartment, which is really convenient and a great extra perk.

It was stressful not receiving the code to open the key box which could have been a disaster but fortunately we arrived before the information office at the castle closed and they were able to phone someone to assist

Absolutely wonderful stay. It’s a brand new, renovated property that’s inside the castle. Loved our stay here, had the best sleep which is a rarity in a hotel room 😅

All was OK. Pretty complicated entrance to the apartment. Very clean modern design of the furnishing, which unfortunately takes away the special atmosphere of the castle. Parking in front of the building. Wifi working properly. Nice view.

“An ornate apartment with historical connections in Zamek Litomysl”
We stayed in one of the apartments within the Zamek (Chateau) which was extremely old and furnished very tastefully with lots of antique furniture. Access to the apartment was very straightforward and our host was most helpful both before and during our stay. The chateau itself is an amazing building which hosts a series of concerts dedicated to the Czech composer 'Bedrich Smetana' who was born there in the 19th century.

Offering views of the chateau, this spacious, art-themed apartment located on the 1st floor offers an entrance room with a fully-equipped kitchenette, dining area, a large bedroom with a sleeping area and partially separated living area, and a bathroom with a shower and a separate toilet. Guest can make use of the artist's easel and art material during their stay. Upon prior request 2 extra beds may be arranged. The apartment was created from an apartment where artists Olbram Zoubek, Václav Boštík, Zdeněk Palcr and Stanislav Podhrázský lived while they were reconstructing the sgraffito decorations of the chateau.
One-Bedroom Apartment - 2nd Floor
This elegant, literary-themed, apartment offers a bedroom with a double bed a spacious sitting area with a couch, tea and coffee-making facilities, and a reading corner. Furthermore, the apartment provides a writer's desk, including a laptop and a printer. A baby-cot is available upon request. 2 more extra beds may be arranged on the pull-out sofa, upon prior request.
Two-Bedroom Apartment
This music-themed apartment of 72 m2 offers a spacious bedroom with a double bed, a smaller bedroom with two twin beds and a bathroom fitted with a bath tub. From the sitting room guest can enjoy chateau views while listening to a vinyl record on the gramophone. The sitting room further features a smart TV, coffee and tea-making facilities. We can arrange a baby-cot upon request, however there is no capacity for other extra beds. Decorated in the 19th-century burgess style, the apartment is located right above the apartment where Bedřich Smetana was born.
