A recently renovated guest house, Gîte du Pionnier offers accommodation in L'islet Sur Mer. This property offers access to a terrace, tennis at the tennis court, free private parking and free WiFi. “Great place to stay during your visit to the Bas St-Laurent!”
The owner was very welcoming and made sure that we felt at home from the minute we arrived. We stayed in the room on the ground floor, which was spacious and comfortable. There was parking in the back and the check-in/check-out process was very smooth. Unfortunately we couldn't stick around for breakfast but it looked great!

If I could rate it higher than 5 stars, I would. When we checked in, we were upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment, and it was spacious, immaculate, and very comfortable. Sylvie brought us a amazing breakfast in the morning. She is an excellent host.

“Lovely quaint dwelling with enthusiastic host!”
Location was idyllic, scenery fantastic. Host was warm and welcoming, provided an excellent breakfast and accommodated our early departure. Would return again!

The hostess was very welcoming, the ambiance was warm. The breakfast was better than at any chain hotel/motel i have ever stayed in. It was served and tasted as good as any 5 star breakfast restaurent.

“Great hospitality in a beautiful village. Home from Home”
Sylvie, our host was really friendly. She has made a home for visitors. She even welcomed me with a much needed beer after a long drive. Breakfast was incredible. All local produce served on a balcony overlooking the main street.

EVERYTHING! Sylvie was a wonderful host. Her breakfast was fabulous. And the house was very clean and the linen, toiletry, towel were also very clean and well maintained. And it is a very old, historical house in a beautiful, calm neighborhood. She even picked me up when I was done with the meeting at the nearby company. Thank you, Sylvie!
