“Idyllic pe Bookace and comfort!”

We arrived in a heat wave and got into the jacuzzi straight away and it was bliss! The beds are very comfortable, possibly memory foam on springs. The ceilings in the attic rooms are 2 metres 30 high and there is ample space to stand and walk about. The stair case is not steep and the treads are deep and a comfortable distance apart-i have short legs and find many stairs difficult, but not these.The jacuzzi area outside is so relaxing. We spent a lot of our time sitting on the decking under the sheltered roof watching the birds, even in the rain, as I convalesced from a recent hospital stay in England. . It's so quiet there. One car per hour on the lane! There is a Black Restart that visits the garden many times each day! The inside seating area is very comfortable too with chaise longue. The kitchen is newish and has everything you need. There is plenty of Denby type crockery, glasses, mugs etc. I enjoyed reading the children's books in French! There are lots of toys for kids too. The shower room was lovely and I especially liked the non slip rubber type floor in the walk in shower. It is 500 m from L'Auberge de la Gabrière's excellent restaurant. And near some of the best bird hides for bird watching! Pulchérie, the owner, is very sweet and helpful. We plan to return!! PS photos poor.best still on my camera. Will try to add after I get home!
