The apartment was clean and equipped as expected. Getting to the apartment was no problem and the spacious parking place in front of the building is a plus. The nature around with the well-marked trails is beautiful.

This cosy and well-designed apartment lies in a peaceful beautiful place in the very heart of the Bavarian Forest. We admired the starry sky at night, murmur of the mountain springs and total quietness and serenity of the village and the forest. The sound proofing of the apartment house deserves a separate mention.

“Perfect getaway in the middle of the forest”

We loved staying in this small but fully equipped (and surprisingly comfortable) studio apartment in the middle of the forest. It's located in a bigger farm-style hotel complex; you have a restaurant in the same building, and 2 more at short walking distance in the little hamlet around the complex. The apartment isn't bigger than an average standard hotel room, but its clever interior design manages to integrate a small but fully functional kitchen, a writing desk, a little lounge corner and a comfy double bed into the available space. It's perfect for a couple. There's a balcony, and free parking at the premise. Some basic supplies like oil, salt, pepper and dish soap were also supplied by the hosts. The location is wonderful; there are many longer and shorter hiking trails starting right at the building, and many of the other famous attractions and trails in the Bavarian Forest are very close by. The place is very quiet, at least it was during the Christmas holidays when we stayed there. The hosts are lovely and communicated quickly and clearly. We had to pick up the key from a locked box a short distance away from the apartment, which was easy. Maybe the biggest bonus for me was that we could freely use the common sauna in the building. After a long hike and a good meal, you're in heaven. The sauna was open from 15:00 to 21:30; you can just turn it on yourself as needed, and it heats very quickly. In short, no matter if you want to spend just a night or a whole month in this lovely corner of Bavaria, look no further!

Very beautiful place to stay. The bed was very comfortable and the balcony was amazing for enjoying a morning coffee. It is a bit expensive but it is worth it.
