The Location was excellent and value for Money pretty good! The Host made a Kind effort to contact us after we had trouble receiving our Bodensee Card.

An old and very simple hostel in an exceptional location.

The location is really good. Though there were no staff for check in or check out, everything was well arranged. The only problem that we faced was regarding parking. Though there was a parking space, it was paid. 10 Euros per night was reasonable but there was no means of paying it when we checked out.

The staff was very friendly and the common room is super cozy

Communication with the staff was practically nonexistent. They did not respond to messages or phone calls. When I returned the next day, my personal belongings were no longer in the room. I couldn’t find out where they were or who had taken them, and I found them by chance at the bar. My slippers were never found and were probably thrown away. It is unclear why my belongings were removed from the room without any notification, especially since I was staying for one more night.

Location is ace, 200m from lake. The closest ski resort is only 50min away! Inexpensive accommodation - probably the cheapest in the area... Nice common room area with games and instruments. Flexible, helpful staff present in the mornings. Heating in our rooms functioned well despite minus temperatures outside. Guests have access to microwave, fridge, kettle, so basic self catering is an option. Some parking in front of house. Communal toilets/showers ok with warm water. I would come again :-)

I liked that the shower room was a private room, but I’m unsure how many there were on the property. I arrived very late and left extremely early so I didn’t have to wait for the bathroom or shower room, but if there weren’t many, I can see how this could be a problem in a hostel.
