Our host went out of his way. We had arrived early on a Sunday afternoon (late September) and the hotel was closed, so we parked the car outside the hotel and walked up to the centre of Limoges. Whilst out, we received a very courteous call from our host letting us know the entrance code to the hotel, so that we could pick our room key up and get settled in (before our official book in time). We managed to get a meal out at "Baron Burgers", which was very good. The room was immaculate (we had been upgraded, as on a Sunday the hotel was very quiet). Unfortunately, the restaurant wasn't open in the evening (on a Sunday), but we had a wonderful breakfast the next morning in the hotel's stunning breakfast room, with its lovely wall paintings. Our host was very charming throughout our stay. We would stay there again, although I believe it gets very busy in the summer months.

Beautiful french Styles rooms with lovely furniture. Very nice Hosts, very flexible (we arrived very late but it was no Problem for them).

Good coffee in the morning. As part of a good breakfast, which you can choose the from a list of items the evening before. I had a good burger in the restaurant on site also.

Super family run hotel over a bistro, run by the same people. The décor was period and we had a good-sized corner room that overlooked the streets on both sides and had a balcony that was pleasant to spend time on in the evening. It had the real feel of a French hotel, with a lot more character than you'd get in a chain hotel. Lot’s going on in the immediate vicinity with many shops and restaurants, although we ate downstairs, where I had a huge steak tarte. We arrived on motorcycles and were able to park right outside the hotel in the street.

Parking on street immediately opposite ,very convenient - pay after 9 am. Despite a market setting up on the square immediately opposite our balcony room early morning we heard nothing Typical but quite satisfactory continental breakfast . Good evening menu / food in the restaurant, not cheap but well worth it. Check in was excellent , his English certainly better than our French, met with a smile & a sense of humour.Good stopover from Versailles to Bergerac. Would highly recommend
