The hotel is beautiful and has a great mix of modern comfort and historic charm. Our room was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The location is also great – very central. The restaurant was great, with a really good breakfast. We would happily stay here again and definitely recommend it.

“A good hotel”

We loved this hotel, very clean, super comfy bed, friendly & helpful staff and a good breakfast in the morning. We also found the history of the hotel very interesting.

The hotel is unassuming from the outside, but the staff was very helpful and professional. The Sky-bar is a bonus. The rooms were comfortable. The breakfast covered a large range of options and catered for all dietary requirements.

Cozy, clean, stylish

The Egon restaurant next door was excellent. Breakfast had a wide range of options as did the evening meals, even for a veggie like me. The bar on the top floor was great.

Breakfast buffet included many not dishes - English breakfast. Coffee machine (pods) in rooms and lounge areas, also in the rooftop bar. Milton Brown showed two and soaps in the bathroom. Close to train and bus staion. Internal access to adjacent restaurant.

“Can’t fault it.”

Don’t be deterred by the unpromising exterior of the hotel. I found it was excellent in many ways. Friendly staff, great breakfast and a comfortable and stylish room. I had a ‘superior’ room which is a little larger and is recommended if there are two of you. It is a welcome change from the ‘corporate’ blandness of many other standard hotels in Norway. The attached Egon restaurant (in an old granary building) was good for dinner and seemed popular with guests. I liked it.

Amazing Breakfast compared to other Hotels I've stayed at. Probably the best location if it comes to downtown, only taking a few minutes to each most restaurants. Comfortable beds and furniture. The Restaurant connected to the Hotel even offers room service which is a massive plus.

Cosy and comfortable and spotlessly clean. Great location. The staff are so friendly and very helpful. Rooftop bar was amazing.

Actually enjoyed. Very good value for money. Some nice historic vibes as originally the hotel is a reconstruction from real mill. Room was spacious, very cozy, heating worked absolutely fine. Comfortable bed, nice shower with good water pressure. In my room, coffee machine and kettle were provided with some coffee and tee. There was also ironing desk and iron, just in case. Decent wi-fi signal without any issue. Lovely team at the reception, very positive. I was lucky to have the room ready by arrival, although I came too early before check-in time. Luggage storage is available free of charge. Really good breakfast which is served in the same restaurant Egon which is connected to the hotel. And restaurant itself is good, too - fast service, delicious meals. Recommend to try the trout and fish soup. And juicy IPA beer :) Very convenient location, liked it a lot. In general, strongly recommended.

Enjoyed breakfast as at most hotels stayed at in Norway. Having in a pub was something different and worked well.
