Nice room with good facilities in the old town. Joey was a characterful host and very helpful and entertaining.

“Good Stay”

The host is very friendly and welcoming. Shared a few good tips to us. Really appreciate it. Location is strategic - closed to ancient town, very closed to one qing zhen (halal) restaurant. Host also offered service pickup from train station at good rate. Please take this one as didi cannot enter the town, car is banned except for local who lives in the town. Host shared all the attractions in Lijiang and halal restaurants for us. Thank you.

“Great place, awesome staff”

Everything! room, staff, location. Well communicated on pick up service before arrival. Cassie provided us with list of scenic places in lijiang, list of halal eateries, and rental services of scooter/car and day trips if needed. The guest house has washing machine but no drier but there is a rack on the balcony to hang your clothes. Because of low season we had the place almost to ourselves.

Responsive and helpful staff. Good suggestions and clear direction to the various attractions in Lijiang Old Town. I appreciate all the help given to make my stay so pleasant and convenient. Will definitely stay here again when come back to revisit this town.

Unfortunately I only stayed one night at this place but it’s a beautiful guest house in Lijiang Old Town. The most outstanding thing to me is the staff. They helped me to book transport to Tiger leaping gorge with different requirements that I had and even followed up with me on the transport after I checked out. Excellent service!! :)

The owner is very nice and helpful. He help us arrange our trip to jade snow dragon mountain with local agent.

“Great location just on the outskirts of the old town.”

The location is great! It is just on the outskirts of old town, so you have the convenience of only walking about 15 mins into the centre, but it is also quiet for your downtime. There are lots of good choices for restaurants on the street just out the front of the hotel so you don’t have to walk far for a meal, either. The room was great. A firm mattress (as with most accommodation in China) but that did us fine. We also booked a room with a bath which was an added bonus! We used the free self- service laundry service which was much needed! There was plenty of space to dry our clothes on the upstairs veranda as well. The staff were also super helpful organising our transfer from Dali, and then our transfer to the Tiger Leaping Gorge and onto Shangri-La. Overall, thanks for a great stay!

Hotel staffs are very friendly and can speak English. They helped and guide us for halal eatery around the Old Town. They help to arrange for transportation to and from Lijiang Railway Station. They allowed us to keep baggage at their place after checkout, the room was clean. The place is at South Gate Lijiang Old Town.

Such a great stay! The hotel is great, good location and facilities. The real star is the incredibly helpful staff!! They are truly amazing in a way that will make your stay so wonderful and easy. They help you find the property very easily, come help you with your luggage at the edge of town, and are always available for any questions you might have about anything. They were a tremendous help in assisting me getting to the Tiger Leaping Gorge and on my way to Shangri-La. They were so sweet to keep checking up on me to make sure all went smoothly, I could find the driver and to make sure the driver knew exactly where to drop me off. Highly recommend.

My stay at GeGeHouse was amazing! I enjoyed it so much. It is run by incredibly lovely women who are welcoming, respectful and incredibly helpful. Pick up and drop off service was included. The rooms are nice and clean and very comfortable. The location is very convenient. The staff members also helped me a lot with booking hotels and train tickets to other cities which is so generous! Especially as a solo female traveler I felt very very safe there and this is all a girl could ask for. Can’t wait to come back!

It’s amazing 🤩 The room is so clean, not dusty. The room has heater 🌟 Toiletries and towel provided The location is very good. It’s in the ancient street . A lot of food options around. The caretaker is very kind and helpful. The lady and guy is very good. The guy can speak English. We took the Snow mountain package from them. It’s quite cheap compared to others. They get us the tickets, transportation, oxygen cylinder, over coat and free lunch as well. It made our tour much smoother and relaxed. -no insects seen -no paranormal activity 😆
