This practical, comfortable hotel in the heart of town was perfect for a weekend stay. We had a great view and there was onsite parking, friendly people — and very fluffy towels. The breakfast was one of the best I can remember with lovely fresh bread. And the restaurant was good too.

Friendly, helpful people, beautiful place! We'll be back!

Clean and spacious

“Beautiful Location, Fantastic Hotel and Wonderful People”

We loved this hotel. It's situated centrally in the town, with the bus station directly behind it (no noise or pollution, it was a small terminal!) with a small cafe, co-op and post office directly adjacent to the hotel. The Leukerbad thermal baths were less than a 3 minute walk in the other direction, and both chairlifts were under 10 minutes away. You are pretty much guaranteed a beautiful view whichever side of the hotel your room is on. There is very large restaurant with another large seating area out the front (and apparently the first floor was shut off for a refurbishment and there looked to be a balcony that probably had another large seating area) so plenty of room for everyone! The staff were fantastic, every single member of staff, regardless of their role with the hotel, greeted us with a smile in a very genuine manner. The food in the restaurant was outstanding. We had a dish of steak/beef, pasta and truffles and it was easily the best meal we had our entire trip (we visited 9 countries in 3 weeks!) The portion size was more than generous and the beef quality was some of the best I've ever tasted. The breakfast buffet offering was also very generous. I really can't sing the praises of this hotel enough. It just had this special feel to it, and it was obviously popular to travellers and locals alike.

Our room was spacious and clean. Comfy beds. Location was great, close to the spa. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Dinner in the restaurant was great.

Hotel Römerhof is exceptionally located, 2 minutes away from the Leukerbad Therme baths and walking distance from the Gemmi and Torrent cable cars. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are comfortable and modern, the breakfast is good and the Hotel Restaurant is very much worth recommending!
