“Fantastic hostel and Amazing tours”

I stayed at this hostel for two nights and everything was perfect. The place is cute, they organize airport transfers, and above all their tours are wonderful! They have so many options to suggest depending on what you want to see, their guides are well prepared and very passionate, and they try to accommodate every one of your needs. Absolutely recommended for anyone who wants to organize a personalized tour or have good tips. In past reviews, they indicated the lack of air conditioning as a negative thing. Certainly, in this area it can get very hot, but the A/C is very bad the for environment, and the Amazon is a land absolutely to be protected so I appreciate the fan.

Family run hotel, really cute vibe and all lovely and helpful once we got to know them. On the tours, they were checking in with our guides and you could tell they were making sure everything was going to plan. All the food on all tours was excellent and large portions, I think we actually put on weight believe it or not. Highly recommend the jungle overnight tour, and the night river tour which was part of that.

So easy to organise a variety of well priced well put together tours with wonderful guides and interpreters, friendly helpful staff, good size rooms and great free breakfast plus only 2 blocks from Parque Santander...liked it so much I stayed twice :)

“Visit of the jungle”

The location is excellent. Not far from the airport, restaurants, shops nearby. Do not expect too much from Leticia. If you come to this hidden part of the world, it is a must to visit the jungle, to visit communities there. You will get all the help from the staff. Rely on their advice, take their tours, they are well organised, it will be a memory for all your life. If you are solo, the several day tours are not cheap, but affordable. This is why you are there. You will get good advice and help regarding crossing the border to Peru, regarding the slow and fast boats going to Iquitos. All the information is correct you get. The hostel is clean, the breakfast is excellent.

“2 nights in Leticia”

Great little hostel. We had a private room and the ceilings were high creating a lot of airflow and a very comfortable room. There's a small swimming pool, free drinking water, and a nice breakfast included. Great restaurants just a block away.

“Lovely family run hostel”

Lovely family run hostel. Nice pool. The staff were so nice and friendly. Clean room and bathroom. Super central location close to everything. Yummy breakfast which included an egg, arepa, fruit and tea/coffee. We were really happy with the value for money. This is by no means a party or much of a social hostel, lots of family and kids around which we didn’t mind at all. Just something to be mindful of when booking :)

“Comfortable stay in the city center”

Friendly and helpful staff, simple but nice breakfast given on the rate, and there was also a pool free to use. The private room was spacious and overall clean, it had a fan and mosquito nets.

“Home away from”

This hostel is clean, comfortable and friendly. You really feel like you’re part of the family here. It’s a great location in Leticia, near to everything you need and the staff are so helpful. The biggest bonus of this hostel is that they do the most incredible amazon tours - they actually partner with a local indigenous community to provide the tours, so you get a real authentic amazon experience while supporting local communities. It was an amazing experience that I will never forget and I’m so grateful for La Jangada for providing it for me.

“Would stay again!”

Breakfast, price for private room was exceptional, pool, super comfortable pillows and bed. Pillows smelt amazingly fresh and clean. Staff helped me with queries and booking taxis. The room was cool and had a fan.

We stayed here only one night, but they do arrange tours, which sounds nice! Room was nice with an own little bathroom. Didn't use the kitchen, but it looked well equipped. Has a little pool as well.

Good location, great value for money. Angie was very helpful and nice, she helped me organise private tours with knowledgeable and experienced local guides at very reasonable prices. Great tours, would come back.

“Incredible experience.”

The spot is just amazing. The family is kind and do everything to make your stay comfortable. I was supposed to stay for a single night but the hostel suggested a tour with a guide, Daniel, a citizen of the San Pedro community. I spent 2 nights in the forest and one in his community. One of the best experiences I had. Thanks a lot to the volunteers who were really helpful. Thanks to all the team.

Location of was perfect. Everything was close. The stuff was very lovely and is very good for the solo travellers. They help with the tour and anything you need to know really recommended

Excellent place for stop-over on the way deeper into Amazon. Clean, good facilities, and excellent location in Leticia.

The location os this place is perfect, very chill and quiet in the center of Leticia. The hostel is very confortable and nice with good common areas. The service is amazing and they really care about your needs and wishes. The food is very nice, no worries if you are vegan or vegetarian, they make it for you too. I would like to totally highlight the tours they offer: they are amazing, really good price-quality relation, personalice with your personal interests, the guides are incredibly nice and good. Ecologic and no intrusive tours. we recommend it 100%!
