My host wasn't there to meet us when we arrived in the dark at 21:30. In fact the hause that the GPS showed was boarded up and it wasn't the one in the pictures. Unfortunately there was no real address so I didn't actually know if I was at the right place. There was also no sign "Carombole". All the neighbors I talked to never heard of the place. They called the telephone number for me and no answer. The next day after a nights sleep and thinking more clearly, I checked my mails, maybe our host was worried and sent me a mail. In fact he sent me a mail while I was in the plane to say he wasn't going to be there. Gave me a number from a guest I should call, he will take care of everything. Wow i thought, a guest. But ok i called the number a couple of times but only mailbox, what a surprise. I go to the place I went last night and could see I was at the right place. Our host signed the email with his name and it was on the mailbox along with a real hause number. Why this number isn't used in the Address for Carmbole, I don't know. I ring twice (its a loud long bell) and what a surprise no answer. But know its the right place so I open the gate and go in. The guest is on the terrace reading to his son. Guess he didn't hear the bell. He shows me Carmbole and that was that. This is where it gets good for me. I tell the Host maybe it would have been better to write me a mail before I leave for Martinique. He could of then gave me instructions how to get to "Carambole". Something like this: "Hi we are not there but go to the GPS Coordinates and there is a White Haus with red trim number ??. There is a Boat parked out front, walk past the boat and there is a gate on your left. Open gate and follow the path; the key is under the mat". But the best was he says it was my fault I didn't contact him. I was speechless. I should have made arrangements for a late arrival.

Beautiful gem in the jungle! Beach is near, the house is clean, very well equipped. The hosts speak english and are very friendly, helped us in every way! Ask for the boat ride with snorkelling for an experience you'll never forget!
