Overview
Located at 1,600 metres above sea level in Sporz in the Lenzerheide/Valbella region, Maiensässhotel Guarda Val consists of 11 different buildings, some of which are around 300 years old. The gourmet restaurant was awarded 16 points in the Gault Millau guide. All rooms are decorated with traditional wooden furnishings and offer satellite TV and a modern bathroom with a bath or shower. The Guarda Sana spa area features a log cabin sauna and a relaxation pool in an ancient hay barn. Beauty treatments and massages are available. The Guarda Val also offers traditional Grisons cuisine in the Crap Naros restaurant. During summer, the surrounding Lenzerheide area offers 250 km of scenic cycling and hiking trails. The 18-hole Lenzerheide Golf Course is 5 km away.

It was an absolutely unique atmosphere, a hotel that is a village. The rooms were wonderful a feeling of being back in time combined with quite modern luxury. Last but not least, everyone was incredibly friendly and above and beyond helpful making our trip perfect from day one.

Very relaxed hotel with spa and sauna. Location is super: near the ski report Lenzeiheide+Arosa. The staff is super nice and the service is top. The restaurant is a must-try.

The Guarda Val had been recommended to us by a frequent traveller as the best hotel ever: it even exceeded these expectations! Who has a firing place in his room? Multiple friendly encounters with other guests, all greeting, smiling and relaxed, which is always an indication of a top hotel.
