“Fantastic place surrounded by nature!!”

Everything. This standalone property is governed by a Sami family. It is located just by the road and the near the Lemmenjoki river. The place is in “wilderness” but provides utmost luxury. Sauna, patio, super well equipped kitchen, fireplace, snow shoes, spacious living room - I loved it. On top of it owner is super friendly and helpful - at checkin she personally showed us all the necessary required details for the property. Bonus - it possible to buy reindeer meat from the farm. There is also a very good local restaurant with in 500 - 600 m serving delicious local food. All the walking trails are located nearby. Saw northern lights. Wish to return again.

Cosy and comfortable house, modern and well equipped. Plenty of space, especially in living room and the kitchen. Sauna and lovely fireplace to use. Beautiful sorrundings, great view from windows.

Absolutely superb accommodation! A small cottage with everything you need, hidden in an Arctic forest by a lake (with a rowboat at your disposal). You can spend days here without meeting anyone, completely immersed in the beautiful landscape. And above all, an amazing sauna! My philosophy is that life is too short to return to the same places, but this is one of the few I’d gladly come back to again – and my whole family agrees. 😊

Fantastic experience of staying in a countryside log house. The roads in nearby are beautiful in winter. The cabin is very warm, comfortable and cosy cabin in winter. Nice place in winter. We have heard nice things about stays in summer too. Good pressure for shower and a nice sauna. Nice and welcoming host.

The property is just stunning, lovely modern deco and so practical too, has everything you could possibly need. The location by the river is second to none, so quiet with amazing views. Travelled as a family 2+2, the kids had plenty of space in the house to play, but mostly spent their time outdoors exploring the area. The host is so nice. Let us see her reindeers as well as told us a lot about the area, Sami way of life, and her beautiful artwork. We would love to come back in summer to see the nature reserve in a different season.

Stayed in “superior chalet”. an outstanding (felt like brand new) well appointed spacious cabin. excellent views overlooking a burbling stream and by itself, on a different location to other chalets. 1.5km from Paltto. Received a warm welcome and escort to the property. No wifi but a strong 4g signal so no problems if have data on a device. appreciated the art on the walls.
