Overview
Right next to Lemmenjoki National Park and 50 metres from the Lemmenjoki River, this property has a restaurant, riverside sauna and rowing boat rentals. Ivalo Airport is a 1-hour drive away. All accommodation options at Lemmenjoen Lumo have simple décor. Showers are located in the sauna building by the river. Some rooms include a small kitchenette and private toilet. Typical Lapland dishes are served in the on-site café and restaurant. Refreshing drinks can be enjoyed in the bar or on the summer terrace. BBQ facilities are available on site. Breakfast is available at the café when booked in advance. Guests can play volleyball on site. Swimming and fishing are possible in the river, while nature trails and hiking paths surround the property. There are also daily boat transfers from the property to Ravadas waterfalls and Kultahamina.

“Disappointing experience despite good location”
The location itself is quite nice – the national park is a 20-minute walk away, and the nearby lake is beautiful. But unfortunately, we wouldn’t stay here again.

I’ve dreamt of coming to Lemmenjoki and a few days spent at Lemmenjoen Lumo were a blast - the camping is at the very beginning of the national park from where there is a number of trails. There’s no public transport there, but the staff offers to their guests for a reasonable cost to pick them up in Inari - which is great! There are also possibilities of renting a paddle boat, a kayak or a sauna session. I did enjoy a lot paddling from the camping to the nearby Sami homestead. The cabin itself was not big, but the cost is very reasonable and the staff has also been very friendly. Definitely a place to stay!

“Cabin immersed in the forest, a peaceful escape near the national park”
I really enjoyed my stay in this small, cozy cabin. The view of the forest is amazing, and it feels like you’re surrounded by nature and far from civilisation. The location is great, right next to the national park. I stayed at the end of September, and the cabin warmed up quickly with the radiator. The kitchen is small, but it works fine if there are not too many people. The cabin is a bit old, but it feels very natural and authentic. If you’re not expecting luxury, this is a great place to relax and enjoy nature. For the price, I highly recommend it to anyone looking for peace and quiet near the national park.

Awful experience: there was no shower at all, only one toilet for the entire campground, no WiFi signal, and our cabin was tiny with just beds that barely fit in.

Beautiful nature, good camping, they suggested to us to change cabin to a room with no additional price, but we stayed in a small cabin and just enjoyed it!
