Overview
Dating back to the 1920s, the family-run Leikanger Fjordhotel - Unike Hoteller is situated by the Sogne Fjord in Leikanger. It offers free Wi-Fi and basic rooms with seating areas and private bathrooms. All the traditional rooms at Hotel Leikanger Fjord have a satellite TV and a work desk. Most rooms feature stunning fjord views. Guests can rent a bicycle on site or follow the hiking trail from the hotel to Leikanger Church or Leikanger Mountain. Guests can also relax on the terrace. Meals and drinks are served in the restaurant and bar. A buffet breakfast is offered every morning. Leikanger town centre with its shops and cafés is located 3 km away. The Jostedal Glacier National Park is a 40-minute drive from the hotel.

“Last minute booking”
The hotel manageress was wonderful, welcoming and very helpful. We had the room at the end of the boathouse which had the most spectacular view. The evening meal in restaurant was lovely. Breakfast was very good, do try the porridge with apple and cinimon. Overall a lovely stay.

Hotel room is fairly basic. The room was clean. The breakfast was good quality with enough variety. Views were beautiful on the clear day we arrived. Staff are very friendly and especially Greta who was very welcoming and helpful.

Hotel is located right on the fjord coast beside the ferry dock and the view from the room was just stunning. Beds were really comfortable and windows are large so you can enjoy the view. There is a sauna with a fjord view and a small private beach. We came quite early but the receptionist was so kind and checked us in.

The breakfast was fine and the dinner buffet was good value for money. I liked the old fashion look of the hotel. The location is great right at the peer where the ferry ports and very close to some nice walks in the hill in front.
