Breakfast and general vibe very good. Staff very helpful and approachable. Great location. Breakfast set-ip ideal.

Fabulously repurposed old army barracks. The breakfast was beautifully presented on individual platters. It was more than welcome wanted to eat so, not wishing to be wasteful, we shared a breakfast the following mornings. We were given a drinks voucher because we didn't want housekeeping services and there were free ice lollies available for guests.

Everyone we dealt with was welcoming friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and tge beds very comfortable. The ambiance of the hotel was very relaxed and pleasant. The location, 5 or 6 minutes from the station and on the edge of the City centre was excellent. It was generally very quiet at night although one of our party had a problem with noise from late night stragglers on the first (Friday) night. The coffees in the room were very good and the breakfasts enormous and excellent.

Easy check-in and helpful staff. Room exceeded expectations - it was large and clean and great decor. Loved a free drink at the bar. Felt safe and very central.

Breakfast was very tasty and lots of it. It was served on a tray at our table. Coffee was very good. Staff all very helpful. Area to sit outside the hotel to enjoy a drink. Hotel was in a very good position to explore the town, it was a short walk to the train station to travel to Amsterdam and across the road from the carpark.

“Bliss!”

This boutique hotel is perfectly situated to explore Leiden and is located next to the canal, historic city gate and the Park de Put windmill- it’s very picturesque! It’s also just under a 10 minute walk from the central station and close to a multi-storey car park- very convenient! The hotel is tastefully decorated and room 14 was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was superb- a selection of breads and croissants with meats and cheese, as well as yogurt, fruit and granola, small pieces of cake and boiled egg- great for a big appetite! We also enjoyed drinks and a snack platter on the terrace in the afternoon sunshine while watching passing boats on the canal! Receiving a token for free drinks at the bar for skipping a room clean is a nice touch, there is also an honesty bar for drinks after the hotel bar has closed at 9pm. There are plenty of excellent restaurants, bars and cafes within easy walking distance. This was our first visit to Leiden and we loved it and cannot recommend the city and hotel enough! We will be back!

Great location close to train station and bus station. Easy walk into city too. Friendly staff; clean, comfortable rooms. Breakfast not buffet style but a selection provided to you. Nice outdoor seating area.

Great little hotel in Leiden, close to the town centre and train station and with very easy access to Keukenhof and Amsterdam. Part of the former Leiden Barracks it has been converted into a nice boutique hotel with a good breakfast/lunch and bar offer. A little different from a standard hotel which adds to its charm - the hotel staff were fabulous and it was spotlessly clean. Very easy parking within a 2/3 minute walk (but not cheap..). Would stay here again without hesitation.

Rooms were good but no need for a bath in a relatively small room when there is a shower - we used it to store coats - I think extra space in the room would be better
