“Beautiful home with fantastic outside space”

A lovely house in a beautiful location with lots to do nearby. Anne is friendly host who made us feel very welcome. The house is old and atmospheric but well equipped and cosy. Also good WiFi! The garden and patio are stunning and our little boys loved playing in the garden and in the nearby play area. We very much enjoyed our stay and visited so many interesting locations.

“Lovely property in quiet rural location”

L'ancienne épicerie ['The old grocery'] is very attractive property in the small hamlet of Le Cercueil. It is an old, traditional building, with the original bell from its time as a grocery store still visible, and plenty of rustic charm in its interior furnishings, which however also have all the modern amenities needed for cooking and dining, as well as TV, wifi etc. One great asset for us was the fact that it's all on the ground floor, and had both a bath and a shower, as one of our group has limited mobility and cannot climb stairs. Le Cercueil is in a rural location and very quiet but there are nice walks in the nearby woods and farmland, and a short drive takes you to many interesting and historic villages, towns and other nearby attractions. There is a lovely garden with fruit trees and a nice view over the adjacent fields, with deck chairs, a barbecue etc.

Very old style detached house that was very charming. The whole place was well stocked with little items you don't always find. The hostess was charming and welcomed us to a property that isn't the easiest to find without her help. We were stalked by a cat in the morning that wanted to come into the property. It was very quaint.

Such a beautiful place with a totally enclosed garden. Very quaint little cottage that had the original floor from when it was a village shop a hundred years ago. Delightful!

“Charming house with extremely helpful owner”

Charming house in Le Cercueil with an extremely friendly and helpful owner (Anne). The house is the little village’s old grocery store. It has been modernized and invites you into a charming rustique French country house. We travelled with our dog, and the garden is fenced and with good space to play for both kids and dogs. There is a bedroom with a single bed and a double bed; the second double bed is in the living room.
