“The best gite experience.”

There are not enough superlatives to describe this property. It is exceptional. A beautiful chateau and 2 superb gites. A lovely warm and friendly reception from the owners Caroline and David along with a welcome board of croissants, baguette, wine, cheese, jam! The accommodation is beautiful and lovingly tended. Clean, well stocked with all the items you need for a comfortable stay. The pool area is amazing. Set in the grounds and only used by the guests in the 2 gites. Patio beds and umbrella provided and needed in the heat after a swim. This was the first time we have stayed in a gite and we have been spoilt. I don't think we will find anywhere else as beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. Thank you David and Caroline. Your effort and hard work are greatly appreciated. Hope to come and visit again soon.

‘Isolated’ and tranquil rural location yet very conveniently located to beautiful towns either by car (10-15 mins) or bike (20-30mins) with a bike path on the door step of the property. You could walk or canoe (river is also on the door step) to these towns but give yourself a good hour. The grounds are large and lush and well cared for, large trees and beautiful flowering plants, lots of spots to chill quietly. The pool area is a treat. Lots of sun beds, umbrellas, tables. The pool is large enough to do laps. New bikes and a canoe inclusive of the stay. Caroline and David, the hosts, are friendly and genuine folk who went out of their way to make our stay as good as it could be. They are clearly proud of what they have developed and want people to enjoy and appreciate their labours. The ‘welcome pack’ was delicious and generous. The gite is FULLY equipped. As well as lots of crockery and cutlery there are all the cleaning products you’ll need. We loved it!

“A luxury stay in a fantastic location”

on arrival the lovely welcoming hosts Caroline and David met us with a smile and warm hello. There was wine, pate & chutney, bread and orange juice - plus croissants for breakfast. Which was great after a long day travelling. The photographs do not do justice to the size of the property or the charm. The lounge/kitchen is a great size with comfortable sofa's and well appointed amenities. In the kitchen there was tin foil, cling film, oil, vinegar, salt & pepper, and napkins. Such attention to detail was unique. The addition of the downstairs toilet and store room is super. In the storeroom is a washing machine, clothes line pole, BBQ equipment and other useful items. The bedrooms were comfortable and good sized wardrobes with wooden hangers. The en-suites had hairdryers, first aid kit, towels, and such lovely touches such as shampoo, shower gel, hand wash and face cotton pads. The manual left gave good tips regarding to mosquitoes - remember this property is by the river, tips on the house and the local area. Two additional services were the bicycles - the cycle path is adjoining the property and runs to le Bugue and to Les Eyzies . The bicycles had an addition motorisation which gave an easier ride. And the canoes - David took us to les Eyzies and instructed us on how to get in and where to meet him back at the jetty owned by him. It was a pleasant hour and bit lazily travelling down the La Vezere especially as there had been rain previously and the river was a good depth. The gardens were well planned out and kept well. The additional little seating areas with padded seats were great to have a snooze in or read a book in the shade. The romantic tree swing was a lovely touch .... The pool was of an excellent size and the pool liner gave a soft touch under foot. The pool was kept perfectly clean and of a great temperature. The sun loungers were of a superior standard with thick pads. The umbrellas on wheels were brilliant and easy to move.

“An idyllic retreat.”

Having stayed in many rental properties in France over the past 40 plus years, La Tuilerie Grange tops them all! It is in a beautiful rural location just outside Le Bugue - the grounds are beautifully maintained & spacious. It is a wonderful place just to chill out & relax as well as being close to the main tourist attractions in the area. The property itself has everything you would want or need for self catering & was spotlessly clean as well as being tastefully furnished & comfortable. There is a private terrace for the sole use of this property’s guests - complete with sunloungers, chairs, picnic table, parasols & BBQ etc. There is also a super shared pool ( with only 1 other couple ). There is also a comfortable seating area immediately outside the front door. The owners were absolutely delightful- very welcoming & made us feel very much at home. It was good to have them on site in case of problems ( but there weren’t any!) but were also very discreet & unobtrusive. The only thing left to say is that we would definitely return to this property when we have the opportunity to visit this region again - in the not too distant future hopefully!

David and Caroline, our hosts, met us with a friendly informative welcome in person and provided us with a choice of drink. They also kindly left a bottle of wine, water, a French loaf and some pate for us on arrival. The standard of cleanliness, attention to detail and equipment to ensure comfort and convenience of guests staying here is exceptional. Care, time, thought and effort on the part of the hosts goes into making the experience restful, peaceful, calm, comfortable and immensely enjoyable. The Grange suited us well with two en-suite bathrooms, one connected to each of the two double bedrooms. Showers, basins and toilets are immaculate. Bedding was fresh and good quality. Towels and bath mats are fluffy, white, top hotel grade. There is plenty of hanging and storage space for clothes. The kitchen is extremely well equipped. There was nothing we needed that we could not find. Thoughtful additions such as olive oil, salt, pepper, cling film, foil and kitchen roll saved us money on shopping items and were extremely convenient. Everything in the kitchen was clean and in good working order. The Grange has two comfortable sofas and a table and 4 chairs in the kitchen as well as another set of table and 4 chairs outside for the use of this gite. There is a barbecue area and barbecue with a picnic table and a rotary washing line for the use of this gite. A washing machine is available in a very clean storage space alongside the gite which can be accessed from within. Even a washing basket and pegs are provided. A super facility is the sparkling swimming pool with comfortable loungers and seating all set up daily with cushions and umbrellas for guests. Huge pool towels are also provided.

It was a totally beautiful stay in la Tulerie. Beginning with the full equiped kitchen, the broad house with more than enough space for aus two. And the garden, or better to say park with the swimming pool and direct access to the river. Thank you Caroline and Davis for the nice week in la Tulerie.
