“Lovely stay for a ski trip”

A great place to stay for a ski trip to Alpe d’Huez. Extremely clean and comfortable chalet with a number of nice touches like robes, slippers, lighting options and plugs, good coffee and a big breakfast served in your room everyday. François is a great host with lovely local recommendations and gave us some great tips about ski rentals, etc. There’s free parking and the location is very central within Bourg d’Oisans town and right at the foot of the mountains. It was also more affordable than other places in Alpe d’Huez!

Francois is a lovely host. The place is fitted out perfectly for cyclists with a bike shed, tools, air conditioning, kitchenette and washing machine. Breakfast was amazing with fresh fruit, pastries and a homemade omelette every day. We also received afternoon tea on arrival with fruit, cake, and wine! Without a doubt the best place I have ever stayed.

I can’t be happier with this stay. Everything was just perfect! The chalet was super well equipped with all the necessary for a short or long stay, perfect for cyclists or any kind of visitors. The property is very quiet but super close of the town’s center. The owner of the chalet is a very kind man who makes you feel as at home. Breakfast was just outstanding in the garden.

The chalet is in a great location. It is nice and cosy and modern and has everything you need. François is the best host I’ve ever stayed with. He is very thoughtful, kind and caring. The breakfasts were really good, and the presentation of all of the food was exceptional. The chalet had a beautiful view of the mountains all around and the garden is lovely.

The room was lovely with nice decoration and quite cozy overall. The breakfast was delicious and was certainly a highlight of the stay. Finally, the location was spectacular with great views and within easy walk of the restaurants and shops in the village. Highly recommend!

I wish we could have stayed longer! This little hideout is absolutely magical and was PERFECT for us. My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and booked this place for 3 nights so we could do some cycling. We really appreciated having a place to cook our own food and wash our clothes. The bathroom and shower were super, duper clean; the bike locker was awesome for us to keep our bikes in and had everything we needed in case we needed to do some maintenance. The location was perfect - just a short ride to the base of Alpe d'Huez. We were able to park our car in the lot and drive to La Grave to do more riding. Francois was so pleasant to talk to and easy to communicate with - he gave us extra walnuts from the garden and welcomed us with homemade pastries (which were awesome as cycling fuel). And the BREAKFAST - it was honestly the best breakfast we had on our trip - homemade cottage cheese, fresh cheeses, fresh cured meats, croissants, multigrain bread, seeded jams, granola, fresh fruits, freshly squeezed orange juice, and milk...everything was either homemade, local, or picked fresh from his garden - to top it off, François would even serve us a freshly made French omelette every morning. Even the plating was just over the top - he included fresh flowers and I just wish I could've taken them up with me! I couldn't be more thrilled with our experience - if we decide to stay in Bourg d'Oisans again, I would try to snap up this place in a heartbeat if we could!

Each morning Francois prepared an excellent French breakfast, with bread, fruit, meat, local cheese, his delicious home-made jam and a freshly prepared cheese omelette when we arrived for breakfast. He was very pleased to tell us of the local produce he offered, and we appreciated it.

Everything was perfect. The room and facilities super-modern and well equipped. The host was incredibly friendly, supported us with info, hosting us during (an incredible) breakfast, and going out of his way to make us welcomed.
