Hôtel Restaurant & Spa Plaisir is located on the Ile de Ré, 150 metres from the beach. It offers an outdoor heated swimming pool, a spa including a sauna, hot tub, hammam, massage and beauty center. All the guest rooms are on the ground floor. They feature free WiFi and open onto a private furnished terrace. Each unit has a private bathroom and air conditioning. The eco-friendly hotel has been certified with the European eco-label. Private parking is available for guests staying in Elegance rooms and Suites, for other rooms there is a free public car park 50 meters from the hotel. Guests can relax on the sun terrace, in the garden or in the air conditioned lounge. Guests staying in the Elegance double room and balneo suite have free access to the spa. To explore the island, the hotel can arrange bicycle and motorboat rental. Guests can enjoy gourmet cuisine in Hôtel Restaurant & Spa Plaisir’s lively restaurant. “A disappointing one night stopover”
We booked for one night as a stopover and were disappointed to be told that the restaurant was full due to a coach party that evening. The hotel provided us with room service, not too good. This spoilt our one night stay. In other respects the superior room (Elegance) with small private terrace was good but a little small. Overall an average experience.

Location good as base for exploring. Room was well equipped and invasion of ants was dealt with promptly.

Great location for walking the dog down the beach (2 mins away). The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly and always said hello. We were given an upgrade on arrival which was a nice surprise. Even though it was out of season, the staff couldn’t have done more to make us feel welcome.

i liked that the architecture was low level and simple. bed was very comfortable. good ventilation in room (able to open windows. bathroom was good too - shower easy to operate

Excellent location near beach and good facilities at the hotel such ad heated swimming pools, bike hire, spa and a restaurant. The rooms were lovely, with really comfortable beds and the staff extremely helpful.
