Worldly pleasures in a near paradise setting.

Attractive holiday let in a stunning position. While we stayed in december, I can imagine that a stay during the outdoor season offers even more pleasure. All other reviews have already better described the place than I could possibly do. A pleasant arrival with a 20C warm house after a long drive, set the standard for an even nicer stay. It will be hard to ''miss'' anything in the house or kitchen no matter if you stay as a couple, as we did, or with 2 families with children. The Abbey, its bell tower, the giftshop, a local guide and the dark walks in the evening, made the 1000 year old history revived again after WW2, the most stunning place to walk around. PS Don't skip vespers and walk into the present church if you can even as laymen.

A Dream Retreat in the Heart of Le Bec-Hellouin This house is a true gem, immersed in a breathtaking landscape in the wonderful village of Le Bec-Hellouin. The property itself is spacious and elegant, surrounded by a lush garden that offers absolute privacy and relaxation. If I were to design my ideal home, I would draw inspiration from this one for its size, style, and harmony with nature. Specific Strengths: - Ample free and secure parking within the property. - Excellent temperature control in every season. - Modern kitchen with induction cooktop. - Super-fast internet connection (download and upload >100 Mbit/s) – perfect for remote work or streaming. Highly recommended for those seeking authenticity and comfort. The host was impeccable! We’ll be back soon.

The house is very comfortable and the outdoor space, with the facilities provided for sports, just wonderful for a family with a dog. The village is small but beautiful, and the abbaye is a place that you'd visit more than once if you stay a little bit longer in Le Bec Hellouin. The kitchen is extraordinarly well equipped. There is a good bakery in the next village. For us, who had brought our own bikes, the daily ride to Port Anthou became part of the holiday routine. The hike of 8 km around le Bec Hellouin is highly recommended, taking you through the forest and farmland. As is the climbing park, AcroForest in Brosville (45 min by car) for both children and adults.

Brilliant flexible house in beaux village with restaurants.

Good access with secure parking outside the house, we are older, so it made unloading the car really easy. The house is right in the village, on a quiet street and has a large garden, the owners call it a prairie as it is not full of flowerbeds, but rather grass and bushes with some roses and delicious raspberries. Although in one of the prettiest villages in France, so an older property, inside, everything is new, and we thought well laid out. There is a large room, divided into zones, with kitchen, dining and two separate seating areas, plus of course the large dining table outside on the deck.. There is a downstairs bedroom, with two further doubles upstairs. The well appointed shower room has a loo in it, and there is also a separate toilet adjacent. Upstairs, no bathroom, but there is a toilet. We were there for a week and found the kitchen well equipped for my fairly standard cooking, the garden also offers a barbecue area at the bottom, and half way down the garden is a pretty building with table football, snooker and some gym equipment, as well as chairs for lounging. Should mention, the garden is securely fenced. Walking round the village and abbey is a delight, as is the coffee shop just along from the house.
