“A great little concept, a posh hostel type style with shared communal areas but a private bedroom.”

The warm smile from the host was a welcome sight after a very long bicycle ride in the rain. A great little concept for accommodation, the small huts are very welcoming with very clean communal kitchen facilities. Tea, coffee and other drinks are available via an honesty box. The showers and toilets are also of very high standard. I will certainly stay here again as it was amazing value for money.

“Short but really nice”

It reminded me of pony camps back in the days. We stayed here to be able to get some sleep before our night walk towards the island. But both would have liked to stay a bit more. The place feels really calming and everything was really clean.

“Unique stay in a quite location”

Great location, the houses were very cosy. Keys were left in the door for us to find so we could just move in regardless of the reception opening times. The view of Lauwersmeer was amazing, inspired a good sense of calm and relaxation.

Amazing and calm place, great location right by the water and perfect to relax :) the host is really friendly and we enjoyed our stay!

We stayed in the little boathouses and they were very cute and comfortable. They are places in a warehouse so you don’t have to go outside to go to the bathrooms and there is a cute private common area for boathouse guests. The host was very friendly and accommodating. We had a great stay here!

Super nice decoration in a maritime setting just across the harbour of Lauwersoog.

I was on a ten day cycle tour up the coast. This was the best place I stayed at. Also it was the best breakfast.

Very pitoresque place! Great idea to make accomodation from that building. Small wooden houses are funny and nice. Staff was kind. Neiboroughs (from Germ.?)was silent. Very good impression!
