Such an atmospheric and cozy place! Everything was super clean and well prepared. There’s a beautiful mountain river right behind the house — so peaceful. The home has everything you might need. We truly recommend staying here!

Close to silfra fissure, geysir and gulfoss. Good location to see aurora, just need to step outside the house! Warm and cozy. Fireplace was bonus.

“Perfect for night sky”

“Amazing house in the middle of Golder Circle”
That house is something else. It's like a place from fairy tales! A lot of small details that made it feel like owners put their heart and soul in it. And I will probably never forget that comforting sound of wooden floor giving up to the weight of my feet. Strongly recommend!

EVERYTHING! We had 2 weeks in Iceland and travelled around the country. We stayed in 5 different locations, all special and unique. But Gljásteinn was a little corner of paradise. Róbert built his house with so much passion and love and respect for the nature around it, it is very impressive. He was there to guide us, to give us some good tips about where to eat, what to explore, and the whole experience was simply wonderful.
