Lovely countryside farm. Charming guesthouse with a hostess that treated us royally. A warm welcome, a tour of the farm to meet the animals, a chat to answer all our questions about Iceland, the best breakfast buffet! , free laundry service, a willingness to accommodate special requests and a charming dog! Sheep and goats and horses and chickens to amuse us. We couldn't possibly have asked for more. Highly recommend this guesthouse. There is also a great community pool and hot tub a few miles away too.

Staying here felt like being at home. The host Abba was great, very welcoming and knowledgeable. Rooms were large and clean. Location was superb, central to everything. Abba’s food is the best. Our fave accommodation while we were traveling in Iceland.

Sumptuous breakfast with home made pastries, jams, waffles, meats, chreese, yogurts etc. Fresh wild blueberries in season. Tea, coffee and biscuits available all.dY. Very comfortable bed. Lovely farm location and super friendly hosts. We appreciated the laundry service as well. Great location near Myvatn and Husevik.

“Felt like staying at a friends place”

The hostess ABBA is a lovely lady, here rooms are spacious and very clean with everything you need and more. The guest breakfast area was available for us to prepare food we brought for dinner, tea and coffee were available anytime. Breakfast was wonderful, freshly cooked bread, eggs from the farm and homemade jams plus Iceland happy marriage cake. ABBA even did some washing for us, thank you.

“The best place to stay in Iceland”

This place is absolutely amazing! Abba is the lovelies and most kind person we met in Iceland. The room was great, to say it was extremely clean is not enough, it was immaculate. The bed was so comfortable. We were able to meet the animals from the farm, they were so sweet. Abba has more than 100 sheep and each and every one of them has a name that she remembers :) Horses, a sweet dog - such an experience. Abba wakes up very early every morning to bake a fresh home made bread for her guests, and prepare breakfast which was absolutely lovely. She made a chocolate cake that we loved. Great variety and home made, so much efort to make her guests feel special. There are biscuits, tea, coffee and hot chocolate for all guests at all times. You can use Abba's kitchen, if you wish to cook lunch or dinner. I noticed that she offers laundry service for no additional fee. She is the kindest person ever. The house has a soul and character which we loved, it feels very special, and photos do not give it justice. Abba is very tactful and kind, she will give you your space if this is what you need, however, if you wish to get to know her and see the farm she will give you her attention and time. We absolutely loved this place and will come back when we visit Icelent in the summer season. Do no skip this place, it is a must to stay here at least for a night, but we would recomment two :)

The best stay in the whole trip. Owners super nice, delicious breakfast with homemade food, beautiful visit of the farm with the animals. Really recommended.

Phenomenal stay at Abba and Hlynur B&B. We only stayed for one night because of the long travel we had planned, but anyway it was awsome. Room was big, it had it's own bathroom and it was very clean. The couple is very kind, Abba even showed us the sheep, cows and horses they have. Also breakfast is fantastic. If you are planning to stay here, don't forget to say hi to Bruno and Blami, two amazing dogs they have :)

“A perfect winter gateway”

From the moment we saw the property on booking we knew it's the one for us... And we were right ❤️ If you're looking for a place "in the middle of nowhere" but also not too far from the main road, if you love animals, a delicious breakfast including freshly baked bread or pancakes or simply looking for a comfortable bed to rest - look no further. 🏡 The rooms are very clean and beds are comfortable, powerful shower, fresh towels, hairdryer, soap, shower gel and shampoo provided as well.🛏️🚿 The kitchen is well equipped. There's a fridge and freezer for guests so you can keep and prepare your meals here without a problem. 🍽️🍳 In the dining room you'll find some interesting books, a big window with a lovely view to go with your tea, delicious coffee or other hot drink that's available all day ( and some cookies too ☕🍪🫖) and of course the breakfast is served here too 😋 homemade bread , jams, pancakes, eggs, yogurts, fruits, cheese, meat, veggies, cake... 🥖🥞🧀🥚 There's a free laundry service if you need it, the WiFi works well and a packed lunch is available to buy. 😃 The dogs, horses, sheep and chickens are beautiful.🐕🐎🐑🐓 I do recommend staying here even if it's just for one night during your ring road trip or perhaps a few days to explore and enjoy the area. We were welcomed by the cutest dog ever and the hosts are super friendly. The room was spacious and very clean. Very well equipped kitchen and the breakfast is amazing. Location is perfect. Big recommendation to book this for your trip. We stayed here for two nights.

“Fantastic stay”

Absolutely fantastic. Wonderful hosts, delicious breakfast and a great location for exploring the diamond circle. A lovely dog as well. Would definitely come back to this place, 10/10 recommend
