Spacious apartment....clean and tidy....quiet area.

“Excellent apartment, but challenging location during severe weather”

Our 11 days stay at Cycling Holiday was overall very good. The apartment was very clean, comfortable and well equipped with everything needed for a pleasant stay. The internet connection was excellent, with speeds around 500 Mb, which was a big advantage. However, the location in a valley between the mountains became problematic during Storm Theresa. Because of heavy rain, a torrent formed and covered the road towards Arguineguín, and we were effectively blocked there for about 4–5 days. This was quite worrying, especially during the first two days (over the weekend) when there was no visible police presence and information was limited. In the following days, access via GC505 was only possible with police escort, which caused significant delays each time we needed to leave or return. Even when the road was no longer flooded, the escorted access continued and still resulted in long waiting times. The experience was quite frightening at times, especially at night when we could hear rocks falling from the mountains during the heavy rain. Communication could also have been better, as the host provided only minimal information about the situation. We also experienced one day without internet and very weak mobile signal. That said, the accommodation itself is very good and the host maintains the property well. If the property were located in a different, less weather-exposed area, I would happily return and recommend it wholeheartedly. My advice for future guests would be to check weather warnings carefully if travelling during seasons with potential storms or heavy rain. Despite the difficult circumstances caused by extreme weather, the quality of the apartment itself was very good.

Everything was great! The host is super kind and speaks english. House is beautiful, clean and there is everything you would need. Don’t worry about the location it’s 10-15 minutes by car from the main places like Puerto Rico or Maspalomas. If you have a car it’s not a problem. Plenty of parking in front of the house and it’s cakm and quiet place between the mountains.

“Excellent base for a cycling vacation to the south of the island”

The apartment is in a quiet village location half way along the Soria pass road. If you're cycling, it's about 1km before the pass starts properly. The accommodation is clean, spacious and comfortable and we had use of the garage which meant we could store the bikes and hire car securely. Arguineguin is a short, 11km drive, and has 2 hours free parking underneath the HyperDino supermarket so driving into town wasn't an issue. If self-catering is your thing then the kitchen has a hob and microwave (no oven), plenty of pots/pans/crockery/cutlery and cooking wouldn't be any problem. Beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean with plenty of towels and bedding.

We got a very warm welcome from Guillermo who showed us around. Place was comfy and clean. Very good internet connection for smart working. Very spacious with parking at 20m. We really enjoyed our staying
