“An interesting hotel very handy for the ferry”

“Very comfortable and cozy atmosphere”

Nice welcome by the owner. The interior is very cozy with old antique furniture. The bed could belong to a royal castle. There is a kitchenette with a stove, a coffee machine and a refrigerator. The bathroom is modern and comfortable. The property is dog-friendly. There is a big park nearby where you can walk your dog. The size of our room was probably 60 sq m and not only 40 as indicated. Coziest hotel room we have ever experienced. The property is a 7-minute drive from the ferry harbour.

I hate the uniformity and how impersonal most accommodation look. This is not that. There is personality, care and uniqueness. The hosts were friendly and gave us a tour of antiques the had on the property.

Beautiful historic guest house. Many antiques in the rooms. Location was great & owner very helpful. He showed us the main house with all its ancient items. The bathroom was modern so very good much needed shower!

The hosts were the warmest and most welcome people you can think of. Brimming with charm and interest they have is a private tour of their very special house and quarters. A truly unique experience! Definitely going back in summertime!

The owner was lovely - a really nice guy and very helpful, also had a great sense of humour! He also directed us to a nearby (literally at the bottom of the short road adjacent) charging point which we needed desperately. The room had a great sense of style, was very comfortable. I imagine that if we had stayed longer we would have been very happy with the facilities. Sadly we didn't get to view the Viking sword collection which was mentioned in a previous comment by another traveller. Maybe next time?

“Wonderful stay with great host”

We had a wonderful stay here. The rooms have diverse and unique decor styles, and the host was incredibly warm and welcoming. He showed us several rooms and his impressive collection. Our room featured a beautiful Norwegian style, and the amenities were excellent. We were in Larvik preparing to take a ferry, but unfortunately, the tickets were sold out. We were quite anxious, but the host went out of his way to help us find alternative routes. We were truly touched by his kindness and helpfulness. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Larvik!

Amazing place for stay, quiet and cozy. The host Margaret offer beautiful room, that was more than we expected. It’s a real treasure for tourists interesting in history. I will never forget this amazing place. we were both in awe, surrounded by beautiful antiques and restored artefacts. The room facilities were superb and the owner extremely welcoming and facilitative.
