“Unreliable”

I was sent to another hotel without warning me via Booking.com or other means. The hotel didn't reply to my messages. I just got a whatsapp message from another b&b that I will stay at their place after 12 oclock on the day of arrival. The new hotel was fine, but it missed some services and it was cold there. It also took me a week to pay for the stay and get a receipt of my stay and overall took much more time for figuring out the things. That spoiled my mood overall and impression of the town.

Stunning palazzo, incredible attention to detail, a mix of old Italian and African folk art, antique furniture with very modern amenities, flooring etc. Our host, Dr Franco, is an exceptional human being, full of stories and good advice. He looked after every detail from check-in to daily breakfast, which was of an unexpectedly high quality. Rooms were immaculately clean

Down a side street in the city centre it is a little awkward for parking. But the city is beautiful, the location is very central, the garden terrace is exceptional & the breakfast and welcome were both generous and genuine. We loved it

My wife, dog, and I had a wonderful stay at B&B Bone Novelle. Franco, the owner, was an absolute hero, providing a great breakfast every morning with great cappuccino and plenty of food options--yogurts, cereal, lots of pastry/bread items, fresh fruit, tea, etc. We had some great conversation and he has some amazing life stories (but I think he only speaks Italian and French). We had read that the decor was African, and it definitely was, because Franco had worked a large part of his life there. It was so cohesive, and the sculptures and other items were of great quality, so we actually loved it! Anyway, we loved our big room--the bed was large and very comfortable, and the natural light was wonderful. The bathroom was large too, and the shower was nice, hot, good pressure, and big (especially for Italian standards). EVERYTHING was very clean, this place set the standard, for sure. The room even had a smart TV which was nice to watch a show after a 16km hike on one of our days. Also, it was easily one of the most quiet places we have stayed in all our Italian travels--it was really nice, and although there were other guests, we didn't hear them unless out in the hallway. We were also very grateful that Franco and the B&B were dog-friendly--it made exploring L'Aquila very easy. We luckily got parking right near the B&B, but with all the construction, it was a bit precarious with other cars deciding to park very close. Also, the B&B is a stone's throw from Piazza del Duomo and the center of L'Aquila, with several good restaurants within a 5-minute walk, so it really is a perfect location--quiet and convenient!

We chose this for its location and in fact it is about 5 minutes walk from the central piazza. The place itself is very charming, with an enclosed garden patio full of flowers. Our room was large, comfortable and pretty. The bathroom was modern and everything worked.

The whole facility is very beautiful and decorated with passion for detail. The garden to spend time looks very well cared for, and is nice and comfortable. People are helpful and cordial. I enjoyed the stay very much.

Just middle of the wonderful L'Aquila! You can reach Duomo Plazza within minute where you can find a tons of restaurants, cafes and gelaterias. Small but beautiful garden full of flowers, you will not believe you are in the city center.

Everything exceeded my expectations. The host (Franco) was incredibly hospitable and friendly and the entire place was very clean, well-maintained and nicely furnished. We really appreciated the cozy atmosphere, original decorations and excellent location. I can’t recommend this accommodation enough!

“Beautiful gem in the city centre”

Check-in was quick and uneventful. Our host offered me a complimentary cup of coffee. This is a true B&B and it has been elegantly furnished with wooden pieces coming from Gabon or Mali, which were collected by the landlord's father during his stay in Africa as a medical doctor. The quality of the rooms is quite high for a B&B and I was particularly pleased by their cleanliness as well as the sturdiness of the bathroom and the shower. It is pretty clear the owners have opted to spend more at the beginning to save less in the long run and the positive effects of such strategy do indeed show. Basically, although some features of the house are definitely rural, I have never had the impression of laying my hand upon something "cheap" or "cheaply built". Finally, the building where the B&B is located dates back 17th century and has an inner court where one can chill.

The B&B is well placed to visit L'Aquila. The B&B is cozy and with a small garden. The room was nice, clean, and quiet. The breakfast was freshly prepared every morning. The host (Luca) was very kind and welcoming, clearly loving to have guests around.

I stayed for 4 night in L'Aquila for a research event at the Gran Sasso Science Institute. The property is absolutely beautiful. My room was spacious and had an interesting interior design. The whole house is in fact very unique and located in the heart of the town - in the historical centre. The breakfast included a very good selection of Italian food. The owner and the entire staff are the nicest, warmest people you could possibly meet. I could not recommend more.

It is a pleasure to be a guest of Luca and Franco. The atmosphere is always magic as the service and the care that they reserve to you. The room (if possible) is even cleaner than the previous time. The addition of the topper on the mattress make the sleep even more confy. The breakfast is always very varied with artisanal and local products. The position is amazing for enjoying the city of L'Aquila and its suburbs.
