The owner Chantal was friendly, helpful and kind, she left the key in our room and a note on reception to let us know she was out with her mum on mothers day. She also let us stay past the checkout time as we were taking the train at 14.00 hrs. I would stay at Abel Hotel again. There is a fabulous fruit and veg shop next door too and a river walk into the town.

“What a find!”
Booked this for my cycle trip down the Via Allier. A really charming hotel in Langeac just a few minutes walk from the centre of town. Chantal and her team couldn't do enough to ensure a pleasant stay. It was such a delightful and peaceful stay after a long day on the bike. Would highly recommend.

The lady running Abel turned her world upside down to accommodate our family; thank you! Once you’ve met her, it’s hard to bear a grudge against the awkward shutter we struggled to close for the night. Sure, Abel is a country hotel without a plethora of restaurants on its doorstep but if you’re looking for a thrilling ‘go ape’ type place, there’s one 5 min drive away. So, If you need to ziG zag over a river at great speed, Abel is the ideal place and possibly only one in Langeac :)

We had a great stay at Abel hotel! The owner is really helpfull and kind and our room was comfortable and clean. We had a lovely stay en definitely would recommend this place :)
