“Kvaløya Lodge”

We had an amazing time at Kvaløya Lodge. It was warm and comfortable with everything you needed for a pleasant stay. Ketil was very welcoming and gave us plenty of tips for what to see and do in the Tromsø area. We didn't want to leave!

“Wonderful accommodation to enjoy the Northern lights and the snow”

We had an amazing time at the lodge enjoying the Northern lights just looking out of the windows of the cozy house. The lodge is nicely located 20 minutes outside of Tromso, you can enjoy activities in the nature or head to the city for a coffee or dinner with your rental car. The host Ketil is very kind and welcoming. We will definitely try to visit again, next time in summer.

Everything in the house was wonderful. It was clean, and cosy, and comfortable. It had great view all the sides and the location was also ideal. The facilities in the house were great. We were welcomed by the host and he came by to give us tips and ask if we needed something. If we ever go back to Tromso, I will choose for the same house again.

Had a fantastic stay at the lodge! Hosts were super helpful and always on hand if needed. Had some amazing views and everything you need. Even got lucky enough to see some northern lights one evening outside the lodge. Would recommend hiring a car if staying here. Will definitely stay here again when I come back to Tromsø

Host friendly, kind and very helpful. Comfortable and welcoming house, equipped with every comfort. A fantastic curly birch tree gives you a warm welcome hug.

“An unforgettable stay in a fantastic environment!”

The location and facilities of the house were fantastic! The house is located directly above a road (this doesn't bother you in any way, there is little traffic) on a fjord, about 20 minutes by car from Tromsö. The only neighbor in sight is another holiday home owned by the same host, so it is very quiet! The layout of the house is good, suitable for up to 7 people. We were two families with a total of 5 people, the space was completely sufficient for us. It might be a little tighter for seven people, but it's fine for a family. There are enough cooking utensils and eating utensils, we didn't miss anything here. And if you're lucky, you can see the Northern Lights directly above the house. That was an unforgettable experience for us! The host Ketil is the most dedicated and nicest host we have ever met on all our travels: he has great tips for excursions, he helps immediately with problems in the house (we had problems with a fuse due to rain), he asks regularly whether you needed anything else (e.g. towels) and he was available at any time. That was simply priceless! We would come back at any time!

Our host Ketil was wonderful, nice, genuine guy. He sat down with us and explained some good activity options relevant to our group. Ketil (and his brother, and their dogs!) were extremely friendly and gave us some Elk meat, which as hugely appreciated. He kept in touch with us to ensure that we had everything we needed. The lodge was perfect for us. The location and the scenery was the best we have seen ANYWHERE. Stunning! And yet, well located for shops and for Tromso.

The view, the wide wooden deck and the beautiful garden. The house itself is nice and well provided for but is rather overpriced. there is only one bathroom/toilet. Host is very helpful and prompt. Always available.

It was our second visit to Kvaløya Lodge, so we knew what we were getting into - the lodge was perfect, as was the view & Tromsø itself. Can´t wait to visit for a third time. Ketil made an effort to give us a lot of new tips for what to do around the area & and we had a once again perfect vacation. Thanks and till next time!

the house was very cosy well decorated and the fire place so comfortable. ou will find all you need and more . But first of all the host was so nice . he takes so much time to welcome us indicates many good tips and thanks to him we saw reindeers. He tries to help us with auroras even if the weather was not good and we were unlucky for that . many thanks one more time it is so rare to meet people like you because you did naturally without waiting for anything

“Absolutely perfect stay”

Absolutely loved our time here! It was the perfect location for relaxing and watching the northern lights! We saw them all three nights we were there which was magical. Katil met us at check in and helped carry our bags which was very welcomed. He provided great tips for things to do in the area and sent through links. The house itself is fantastic and exactly what we wanted. It’s small, but was good for the 3 of us. It has 4 rooms but two are very small, so I wouldn’t recommend a large family stay there and expect to not be on top of each other. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, crockery etc, only thing missing was a toaster (maybe I just couldn’t find it!!), but it was all good! Beds were great and we were super appreciative of the cot and high chair for our daughter! Makes life a lot easier! Thanks so much for having us! I’d 100% stay again, and hopefully we make it back to Tromso so we can!
